I was very unsatisfied with Pata Negra this time. We had a reservation for 19:30 with my family, and we were there 19:20. They made us wait half an hour, saying that noone is leaving yet, some people are late because their flights have arrived later than expected etc etc... None of these are my problem, where me and my parents had to wait 30 min standing. I don't see any point of bothering of making a reservation, if you are being treated as a walk in guest! And ''sorry but people are still eating'' is definitely not an answer to this. If you can not manage reservations, just opt out of it and don't make people suffer.
After 30 min, we just were set on a table on the back, sharing our table with others (which is still ok), and it was very cold on that part of the restaurant. So although we planned a long dinner, we just ate quickly and left.

My advice, definitely don't bother taking your parents etc, if you want to be relaxed over a reservation. Might be still ok to go with friends.

Great food, little to crowded at times, attracts a mixed crowd. The tapas are great and fresh. Very good Spanish restaurant in Amsterdam to enjoy drinks with a lot of tapas.

Amazing restaurant, with a relaxed atmosphere. We went twice during our stay in Amsterdam. Tip - the menu type is tiny. It would help if it was bigger.

Busy and noisy, fantastic atmosphere in an unusual location, efficient staff, really fun and young clientele - I'd pay just for the fun experience but the big surprise is that the food is excellent, great tapas served simply and in good sized portions. I would highly recommend.

The ambience is amazing - noisy, lively, friendly and warm. We went on a tuesday night and it was absolutely packed! No tables free so we sat by the bar and ate some tapas and had some mojitos. The drinks were very very good. The menu was all in dutch with no english at all so we had a tough time. We ate chorizo frites which were incredibly delicious and tortilla which was surprisingly an omelet with cheese and potatoes - it was okay. Will absolutely go here for a good drink and tapas again soon.

The atmosphere and deco are nice, the food is ok. The service is not really there, or they do there best but it's so busy that they can't follow the rythme ! Sometime doing quantity take over quality !

In one word horrible. The only nice thing about the place is the location and decor. The food was soaking in oil, bread so hard i could trow a hole in the window. And the most terrible part is the service. They dont talk, ask if you like the food, it made the night even more terrible. I had a great night, but because of my company not the restaurant. Will never ever go there again. And would not reccomend it to People. P.s. It's really pricey as well.
