Not the cousiest and not the most beautiful decor in Santiago but for sure a very good kitchen, friendly staff and good wine list.
Very well prepared "merluza with navajas" and ris de veau. 10!

My solomillo (sirloin) was very good, as was the wine, but the navajas (razor clams) was very average. The restaurant uses good ingredients, and charges a lot for them, but the cooking is very unambitious (except perhaps for desserts). The menu is in Spanish, and the desserts in particular are not well described even in Spanish, so be prepared for some Googling if you do not speak Spanish; the waitress was nice but did not speak English. In summary, mostly good food but poor value for money.

We had lunch today at Pedro Roca. We were the only clients in the restaurant for a Thursday lunch in November. We had the server all to ourselves. He explained every dish on the menu in English, which was much appreciated. We began with the foie gras starter, which we shared at the waiters suggestion. It was delicious. Our main courses were sweetbreads topped with foie gra and black trumpet mushrooms, and white beans with lobster. Both were wonderful. Even with a bottle of wine from the large wine list, our bill was still under 100€!!

Pedro Roca had good reviews. It was a pity that it was Monday because the seafood market was closed. The waiter did a very good job suggesting alternatives and the food was very good. The restaurant doesn't look particularly inviting from the outside but it was very comfortable inside. I would recommend it but perhaps not on a Monday if you particularly like seafood

Pedro Roca's cooking is creative and of high quality, beautifully presented. Our server was friendly and informative, translating the menu for us. The space is attractively designed, contemporary. Overall, a wonderful experience.
