7.5/10I work in hospitality myself and know it can be very tiring but the way the young girl treated my family and I was just unacceptable. She didn’t smile once, she was so rude and made my younger sister feel bad about getting apple juice as a drink. Whenever we come up to the Sunshine Coast we always come to the tavern. The chefs are all amazing as always just the one girl. Maybe she was having a bad day but it’s still unacceptable. Hoping when we come back next time it’s better :/

2.5/10We had to wait so long for our order, Other three people at my table received their order, but had to chase down the coffee ordered. I f inally had to chase my order down, received it finally, meat which was pork not able to eat it as still very pink. Received sliver of pumpkin which was cold! So to sum it all up, would not eat at the Tavern again.

5.5/10This is our ‘go to’ place for a pleasant and normally high quality meal, however today this was not the case for two of the three meals. One meal (mushroom risotto) was very good, but the other two were not. The chips were overcooked and almost cold, and the salad was wilted. The protein of each meal (crumbed Barra and GF calamari) were adequate, but not to the usual standard.

4/10Service from staff was below average. Even the venue manager made little effort. Order kids meals had to chase down their drinks and ice cream. When the venue manager bought an ice cream and I asked where the second one was she was just so rude and got another staff member to bring the second ice cream back - it’s like we were an inconvenience from all staff but especially the venue manager. Food disappointing. Order a pint of code and only got a schooner. Ordered southern fried chicken burger But it came out as a schnitzel burger. No normal chips only sweet potato available. I saw the sign 🪧 on the reception desk but my husband didn’t and he was annoyed. A 10% surcharge charged for poor quality food, bad service and we waited ages for our food.

7/10Waited an hour for two meals, that most of the meal was prepared, a table of 5 were served their meals at least 15 mins before my wife and I and we ordered before they arrived, when meal came it was nice and cooked correctly and they did offer a free drink but we declined and said we just wanted our food

5/10The food was what you would expect for tavern food. The calamari, schnitzel ,parmigiana and lobster were good. One of the steaks was good but my husbands steak was the worst he’d ever had. It was cold when it arrived and looked well done rather than medium. They did offer to bring another but we didn’t have time so he declined.

5/10Four of our party of 14 ordered steaks. My eye fillet was overcooked and extremely tough. I took two bites then asked for a refund which I was given. All three other people were not happy with their steak. All extremely tough and not cooked the way they were ordered. We all found the staff very ‘cold’. No smiles. No ‘hospitality’. I stood at the bar for 5 mins (I was the ONLY person there) while 2 staff walked back and forth in front of me. One staff member eventually said ‘are you being looked after?’. I nearly laughed! Clearly not. It’s just the two of you and I’m the only person at the bar! Very disappointing experience concerning food and service.

9/10Good food bit small for the price, kids meals good, great staff friendly and accommodating, good playground for little kids overall we had a good meals and good view from everywhere in the restaurant.

5.5/10Disappointed we had to be firm about getting a decent table despite the restaurant not having many patrons when we arrived. I think the early bookings deserve as much attention as the later ones not to hold tables. When we left the room was still only half full. Food good despite getting the wrong order

8/10As 'pub food' goes, this is pretty decent as a go to when you just don't feel like making dinner. Pretty good value using the "Seniors Menu", and can choose from Fish & Chips, Parmy, Rump Steak, etc for around the $16 mark. Not much interaction with staff as the phone ordering app takes that away and must be great to have minimal staff for the owner.

2/10We live locally and love supporting local businesses. However, this will be the last time I book at Pelican Waters Tavern. We had family up from Victoria several months ago and the Tavern had run out of garlic bread (which seemed totally unbelievable). Last night, together with friends from Victoria we went to order and they had run out of chips........yes, 6.30pm and run out of chips. Coles and Woolworths are right next door! I'm done!

Hi Heather, Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit with the venue. Firstly I would like to apologise on not having any garlic bread. We like the supermarkets have trouble receiving regular items from suppliers. Unfortunately this week we have had issues with our supplier supplying garlic bread and chips along with quite a few other products. Usually they provide us with another alternative but that too was also out of stock. We try and do an another option and we were supplying wedges instead of chips which is more costly for us but better the the customer. Again we would like to apologise for how your night was we we do hope that you give us another visit again some time soon
