7/10Went here on a Sunday to have the shared menu experience for $75pp. This included snacks, entrees and mains which consisted of oysters, carrots, chicken drumettes, grilled quail, mandarin chicken and eggplant lamb as well as a shared dessert. Standout dishes were oysters, carrots, lamb and the creme brulee dessert. The one letdown was the slow and inattentive service.

10/10Fantastic Lunch, if I had to find a negative, it would be that the food was not Hot, quite warm actually, but we will return, and refer to Friends. Location Fantastic!

7.5/10We have been to the Magill Kitchen a number of times and have always enjoyed being there and the food, the venue and, of course, the view. This time we did not think that the $38 main course we both had was worth the money. The dessert was delicious and the wine excellent but the service bringing the dessert was extremely slow. The staff are friendly and attentive. Would go back for coffee but not a meal. The restaurant was not crowded because of COVID.

5/10First as we entered we were told off by one of the staff as one of us did not have a mask on. As a high end restaurant I think courtesy is very important. We are not 8 year olds and to start the day being told off that “ you should know mask is mandatory and you should always carry a spare with you all the time” . Then as I was ordering my tea I requested for my tea to be stronger but used the word Thicker instead and the waitress looked at me and raised her eyebrow and gave me a puzzled look. Food was very substandard today. Buttermilk chicken was overly oily and dark. The scrambled eggs looked so runny it was not appetising .

10/10Everything was so lovely & we had the best time. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely flawless. Jasmin was our server & she was amazing & had extensive knowledge of the champagnes we were interested in trying with our meal. We had the new penfolds rose champagne & it suited the dishes we had ordered beautifully. The view over the vineyards are spectacular.

6/10A disappointing experience today, sadly! the service was not what we expected, tightly seated for our group if 11, waiters were stand offish, needed to proceed to have the birthday cake outside as needed the table - which I wasn't made aware of. Lovely setting and food was nice, the hospitality of staff needs attention. A shame that good quality service is compromised at a prime location like Penfolds.

9.5/10Lovely unexpected place for a good breakfast-- perfect coffee, fresh OJ,, and interesting breakfast options. And quiet enough to hear conversation... a rarity nowadays!

10/10We started with a glass of Billecart and chose a main course and dessert each. And of course that delicious sourdough bread. The waygu beef was perfect, with a mushroom side and a delicate chutney. The swordfish was grilled to my wife's request and was sat upon a beetroot, blood orange and daikon salad surrounded by a salsa verde. The ambiance, the attentive table staff and the view over the Grange vineyard and Adelaide skyline in the background, made this a perfect spot for a very enjoyable lunch.

9.5/10Food and service was good as normal, however we were given only 1 hour use of the table as it was booked for a 10am sitting, would've been nice to have known early when we make the booking on line, we had to finish our coffees and chatting in the foyer..... felt rushed, not the standard we've come to expect.

8/10Overall our table service and food and wine was great. However was extremely annoyed when the maîtrede came up to our table at 2pm while we still had wine in our glasses and told us he “needed our table in couple of minutes for another booking”. We were there with our elderly parents celebrating their 64th wedding anniversary and found this to be a very rude way for the head of service to talk to us. Really put a bad taste in our mouth and changed the entire outlook of the event. Not sure I’d recommend the venue based on that poor behaviour. If it wasnt for that I would recommend the venue. Paying good money for food and service to then be told to leave once You’ve paid your bill - not good!!!! They need to learn a bit more etiquette around customer service.

9.5/10Very nice fixed menu Lunch. Small portion for starter but very well cooked and nice flavours. Quite large main that was well balanced and filling. Dessert was a bit disappointing, but it wasn’t my type of choice (great custard). All paired with a nice Pinot. Great service all the way through. Highly recommended!
