Correct French food with an "updated" twist. Rotation of a monthly menu with 3,4 or 5 plates. Good wine and beverage menu. Nice ambiance. Satisfied with the overall experience.

Du er i Frankrig i Hamburg i en skøn atmosfære med mennesker i køkken og på gulv, som bare vil og formår at give dig en oplevelse til ganen og nogle ikke spildte timer på restaurant. Vi kommer til at vende tilbage under vort næste Hamburg besøg.

I have never experienced such a service even though they tried to make it work it was inexperienced waiters who didn’t understand English. We had the table for 2,5 hours and asked politely to get the food in good time in order to attend a concert at the Elbphilharmonie. Instead, the owner (?) head chef (?) raged at us, got very stressed, and said the most obscure things: “This is not a fast-food restaurant - someone who looks like you should go to a fast-food restaurant instead!!”. Screaming this to us and also ran after us when we waited for the taxi in order to tell me this. I have never experienced anything like it and usually attend very experienced (Michelin recommended and starred restaurants) every week. A customer should never ever be in a situation like this. Utterly crucifying. The food was, unfortunately, a bit too salty but the ambition to create French cuisine is good. If you have high expectations of your visit, you should definitely choose another restaurant. I would not recommend Petit Bonheur.

En meget dejlig velkomst - man følte sig med det samme velkommen og godt tilpas. Maden var lækker hele vejen igennem. Betjeningen var virkeligt god. Vi lod os rive med af stemningen og lod os overtale til flere retter og et par glas vin der passede til maden. Kan varmt anbefale denne restaurant.

God mad men tilstræber at være lidt for “fransk” med franske flag i maden, eiffeltårn på bordet og lidt for højt Edit Piaf musik, samt dårlig service. De burde blot fokusere på mad og lade den tale for sig selv.
