We had a really nice dinner at Petit Bonheur. The atmosphere was great, the service was super friendly and the food was delicious. The portions were just right so we didn't feel too stuffed when we were done so that was great. The only minor thing we did not like, we were seated next to the door that people used to enter and exit and the door doesn't close by itself so one of us always had to get up and close the door since some people apparently haven't learned to close the door behind themselves. But this was only a minor thing and definately didn't destroy the good atmosphere. I would come back any time!

I have been to this restaurant 5 times before, and always rated it very highly. Last night was an unfortunate exception to that. First I must say that our waiter was excellent, very helpful and efficient. But there were 2 large, noisy parties in the restaurant, one of which was very very noisy, with yelling and screeching heard all the way into the main dining room from their room a few meters away. The restaurant has a very nice, romantic decor, but it needs to decide if it is going to be a classy restaurant or a pub. The evening was quite disappointing (it was a 20th anniversary for my husband and myself). Also, the food was not that great either, not as good as in previous visits. Perhaps it was because it was a Tuesday night? Anyway, Le Petit Bonheur is no longer on my shortlist for nice places to eat in Maastricht. But I want to make clear it was not the fault of the wait staff, they were doing what they could to deal with the situation.
