9/10Loved this restaurant in the secluded place at the Maria Treu Platz in front of the church. The menu wasn't that big but it was OK. The waiter was very humorous and joked with us about a couple of things.

10/10This is our first time in Vienna and this restaurant will not make you disappointed! We have so much fun talking with the waiter, he is funny and knowledgeable of the food. The service is outstanding. The museum in the restaurant is quite unique. The food was good taste.

8.5/10The food was saltier than I expected. I said I didn't want soup, but it was included. But it was delicious, just as I first recommended. I was curious about the inside of the building, but I was a little disappointed that they gave me a seat in front of the cathedral outside. Of course, the outside seating was very nice, but it was a little difficult because the weather was so hot. It was nice to have a meal in a comfortable atmosphere.

10/10We found this restaurant while looking for unique dining experiences in Vienna and it certainly did not disappoint! The food was excellent and Jimmy, our waiter, was awesome with his quick wit, personable approach and great food recommendations. Highly recommend this restaurant!

10/10It was a very beautiful experience in every way the ambience in the catacombs was perfect. We had the special wedding meal that's on the first page and it fit perfectly to the ambience. It was also very delicious and beautifully prepared and served. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone, who appreciates the better things in life.

9/10The decoration of this restaurant is unique. You feel like you are eating in an old cellar. The food is thoughtful, nothing special, but good. The prices are higher than you'd expect especially for the portions. Definitely try the beef.

10/10My family was in Vienna for Christmas and we were lucky enough to get a reservation. There was a concert in the adjacent church for the guests prior to dinner. During dinner we were treated to wonderful local music as well as the brass quartet that played in the church. The service was terrific and the food was delicious. The atmosphere was just what we were looking for. It felt like you were surrounded by friends.

10/10Overall, it was a great dinner. The waiters were really kind and wise. The music and the musician were also great. We strongly recommend the museum tour after dinner. We are really satisfied of our night. However, we would expect a warmer welcome from especially the first entrance.

10/10the restaurant is one of akind! Mr Jim was the jem of the restaurant!!! thw decoration inside is unique, traditional wienese and royal at the same time and food was excellent! the prices, of course, were adequate to the top quality of the restaurant.

10/10This restaurant was fantastic! So glad we tried it. Went here last night with my family while on vacation. The waiter was friendly and fun, joking around with us and suggesting dishes when needed. The building and decorations were amazing. So much history and pride on display. And the food! We had Austrian sparkling wine (very nice!), wild boar which was delicious, an ox roast dish suggested by our waiter which was great. One of us even got a venison dish which was the best venison any of us had ever tasted. Not at all gamey like you get in the states. Five stars across the board here. Go and enjoy it, we’re glad we did.

10/10Lovely restaurant, really unique and a must see if you are visiting Vienna. The service was fantastic and the food was delicious ???? The Austrian menu was great and we tried some dishes that we hadn't tried before. Reccomend the pheasant soup and Ox Toast!

10/10A truly wonderful experience made even better by our host, Jimmy, whose anecdotes sealed the evening's enjoyment.. Notwithstanding the talented chefs who offer sumptuous and flavoursome cuisine, this is an exceptionally individual restaurant that cannot be compared with others in Vienna due to its immense historical value, exclusive imperial decor and an ambience fit for an Emperor. My wife and I ate different dishes and loved every mouthful of each. Not to be won over purely by the food and service, a quick tour of the hat museum left us in fits of laughter too, after trying on various helmets and milinery of yesteryear . Ultimately, a lovely evening of great food, good service, regal ambience and pure enjoyment.

6.5/10Generally ok. The dining area is located in a cellar which is about 2 levels below ground. There is no cell phone service there. The decoration was very detailed and was exactly as it appears on the restaurant's pictures, but I found it too touristy and complicated. The crowd was composed of tourists as well. Soup was perfect but main dishes could be improved. Prices were a little high and we ended up paying more than we would have expected.

10/10Fun night, the host was fantastic, gets everyone to put on historic hats and tells you the history. Very good sense of humour too !
