The food was nice but service could have been much better. One of the waiter was really nice but we only had him when we had to pay the bill. The waitress on the other hand was not good, the plates were not introduced, our dishes were taken away without us finishing or her asking, there was no communication etc.
Everything we had was delicious and the staff went out of their way to explain the dishes and make us feel welcome. The restaurant is done out beautifully and had a lovely buzzy atmosphere. Our best meal in Paris so far.
Awesome restaurant well worth a visit beautiful and charming with amazing dishes
Small plate restaurant with a slightly different menu. We chose five dishes to share, and four would have been more than enough. The food was excellent.
Flawless, from start to finish. Service was friendly, the menu explained perfectly. Food was some of the best I’ve had. Highly recommend
Tapas restaurant. They recommend 3 dishes per person. Me and my boyfriend took 2 small plates (starter type) , 2 medium plates (main course type ) and 2 glass of wines. Bill was around 69euros. A bit expensive for the portions if you are hungry but good quality food and creative dishes.
Very friendly hosts. Cared to explain the concept of their restaurant and how each food is from various parts of France.
We really enjoied our visit at Picotte, the food and the wine was excellent. The concept of the foods origin from all over France was fun, and the concept of sharing really nice. The staff was very friendly. We would recommend this nice restaurant to anybody.
Amazing. This place is worth it and completely in line with every review out there. Do yourself a favor and just go. The food is so much better than even the pictures can show and such a great deal!
I recently dined solo for dinner after discovering it from user reviews and had a truly wonderful experience all around. The food is small plates from around France, with a clever game-style menu of cards, and literally everything sounded delicious, and everything I ordered was. I didn't realize at the time that the servers are also the owner/chefs, but they were extremely friendly and charming. The atmosphere is very pleasant--not too brightly lit like it can seem in pictures, which was my only hesitation in booking--and most of the clientele appeared to be locals. Lively, but not too noisy to talk. Lastly, they very kindly arranged for a nearby hotel to hold a gift I'd left behind so I could pick it up in the morning. One of my very favorite spots in Paris!
This restaurant proposes a dozen or so small tapas-like dishes to share (or not). We found each one of them quite delicious, but too small to share amongst our group of three. I would have liked some rice and a salad or vegetables to eat them with, but these were not on the menu. At the end, the meal wasn’t very satisfying and the bill was too high.
Delightful service and interesting food
Adorable restaurant, charming service and exquisite food. All of the ingredients are very fresh and seasonal. The cheese (including a delicious Brillat-Savarin) is sourced from a maître fromager. The menu, original and inventive, takes diners on a culinary tour of France. Skillfully executed dishes from around “the Hexagon” can this be sampled. The wine list also features a diverse and carefully curated selection of wines. The highlight of the meal, I confess, was the amazing Fondant Baulois, a chocolate dream served with salted caramel and artisanal ice cream (we almost ordered a second one). I can’t wait to return and work my way through the entire menu!
Clever idea to present dishes from across France as Tapas. Delightful people and delicious tastes. We love sharing and trying different dishes so this was perfect. Highly recommend.
Restaurant sympathique !
Service un peu long mais plats impeccables. Ça donne envie d'y retourner le soir
Beautiful little restaurant for our last night in Paris, with welcoming service, considered decor and a relaxed vibe. The menu was really beautifully done, the food is tapas style with French dishes from various regions; which is explained on the menu and on little coasters given once you order. The food was tasty and very fresh. Would recommend for couples or small groups!
A wonderful find on our last night in Paris. The quality was superb.
