Managed to get a group booking at late notice. Very nice upmarket ambiance, most people eating seemed Chinese which is a good sign. we chose the set menus as it seemed the best sea for a group. All good but on the expensive side - an enormous amount of (high quality) food. I’d be more picky on the menu next time as there was too much for us! Vegetarians well catered for. Service prompt. Will go again.

The food was fine, the service was correct. It is just that it was not great value for money: The prices where more of what you could expect for "excellent" food, not "just fine"

as a scout group of 22 we emailed our choices beforehand with the prices on and asked them to confirm. They didn't. They charged us £2 per dish more than what was on the website and said that website was wrong even though I asked the man if the prices were correct on the website. apparently they changed the prices in december. They also charged us for items we didn't have and an extra £54 in service charge. Some of the food looked nice but the shredded pork was disgusting. We ordered salt and pepper chips and normal chips came and they charged us £6.40! we are a charity and they were downright rude when we asked them to honour the website prices. As it was chinese new year they have obviously inflated the prices. As pointed we had preordered from their website as per their request. Will not be recommending them again

Really nice place, food was great although on the expensive side - drinks were very expensive for the amount - would go again if someone else was paying

The food is fine at all with decent Cantonese to Beijing dishes but the price is a little bit expensive and the tea is somewhat tasteless. The service is good at first but the restaurant didn’t want us to stay longer with a bad attitude towards us then.

Not very busy when my wife and I visited in a rare Machester heatwave - (thankfully!) the restaurant had air conditioning. Slight wait to place order: crispy duck was somewhat bland, main courses were good (with a portion of rice added „on the house“) with tea as a perfect accompaniment. Wait staff was plentiful in number, but not so quick to come to the table, though a manager (?) did come once to ask if everything was OK. Not the best or cheapest (around 50 GBP) Chinese food we’ve ever had, but by no means the worst! OK to give it a try - perhaps better in a larger group (as the Chinese diners were doing) with more dishes to try and share?

As ever the restaurant was busy. Staff were attentive and food was excellent. Overall we were satisfied but it did seem expensive versus a previous visit .

Service was speedy enough considering it was a fairly busy Saturday night. Lots of tables full with people. Food was very good, we had the Cantonese vegetarian banquet for 2 and it was arguably too much food for only 2 people. Only downside was that they didn't have our name on the reservation list, so we ended up on a huge circular table designed for 4 people.
