Espíritu informal, mesas altas, frescura a raudales, cócteles increíbles y cierto aire canalla que marca la diferencia. Así es este restaurante mexicano que nació hace unos años de la mano de uno de los grandes de la gastronomía madrileña, Abraham García (Viridiana), que fue asesor del local en sus inicios y del que todavía queda una huella indiscutible. Una huella que nos habla de una cocina sin tonterías, que fusiona sin banderas y como siempre ha hecho García: huyendo de la ortodoxia y apostando por la intuición y la inteligencia. El cocinero Jaime Gómez-Ibarlucea, formado en Viridiana, crea aquí una cocina de fusión entre México y España en la que podemos encontrar toques nikkei y algún plato más castizo. Un talante que probablemente habría enamorado a Juan Rulfo, en cuyo Pedro Páramo se inspira el nombre del restaurante.

El apartado de tacos de su carta serviría para alimentar a los más intrépidos sin necesidad de pasar ni una página más de un menú en el que encontramos también un lomo de ternera a la plancha con salsa de chiles, o las albóndigas de ibérico en salsa mexicana con cuscús al azafrán y batata asada (pican un poco, nos advierten en la carta). Podemos acabar el ágape con un bizcocho de chocolate al ron de la Martinica, pedirnos una señora Margarita y acabar gritando a los cuatro vientos eso que de buen seguro se nos estará pasando por la cabeza tras un ágape en Comala: ¡Viva México, c*******!

    We stopped in for lunch after visiting the Prado - it is close by. I enjoyed the Pulpo and my wife a Spinach and goat cheese salad. Excellent service. They offered complementary edamame to start and some nice sweets to enjoy with our coffee. 55 euros with no alcohol - a bit expensive but worth it.

    I had a delicious margarita to start. The gave me a wonderful pumpkin soup as a complimentary beginning. I ordered tortilla chips & guacamole, very good. Followed by 2 excellent soft tortilla tacos. Although what I had was "Really Ggood, I rated it just Good because I was disappointed that the menu didn't have more Mexican items. I came because it was listed as Mexican and seemed more upscale than a taco stand. I did not look at the menu beforehand or online. Their kitchen is very creative and they have lovely things, just not the standard Mexican fare that I was looking for. I would go again to try the other items, when looking for a creative and good meal. The female server was very nice and helpful, as was the Dominican waiter.

    Excellent. Don't be put off by the description of the cuisine as Mexican. It is influenced by that, but very upscale. Small indoor dining with outdoor dining as well. One of our most memorable meals in Madrid. Next to Ritz hotel, but affordable.

    Delicious,delicate tastes. The guacamole is enough tohare and the soup was so smooth and tasty. Ourentrees were cooked perfectly and tasted so good. Definitely would recommend
