The starter of shared antipasto platter was really delicious. The meats are authentic Italian and the veggies/bruschetta were seasoned well and beautifully prepared.
However both of our entrees were salty. And we like salt. I ordered the tortellini and it was in a cream sauce which was too heavy on the butter. On a good note the pasta is made in house and the wine selection is decent.
Mood lighting and a bit of better decor would be more inviting.
3 out of 5 stars.

Service was nice, but pizza's were very ordinary, with the dough quite burned in the oven, was quite disappointing. We also ordered mixed antipasti: quite a lot of oil and again very much burned.. Supposed to be tasty I suppose, but really unhealthy, and oh well, burned and oily is just not our taste. Gnocchi were very ordinary too.

Decided to try this fairly new restaurant because friends in the neighbourhood recommended it. Shared an antipasto for 1 person that was fabulous. Extremely good rose wijn for around 24 euros. The restaurant wasn't very busy but we still had to wait much too long for the main course. Perhaps the kitchen was just too tired from all those extremely busy evenings. However, when the sliced grilled ossenhaas on lava stones finally arrived, it was utterly delicious. My pasta with mussels was okay but a bit salty. The head waiter is quite a character and can be very entertaining (know him from another Italian restaurant) but if you can't appreciate his "act", I imagine he could be annoying. He might want to use some of his Italian energy to inspire the kitchen to work a bit more focused and faster. From where I was sitting they didn't look like they were really trying to get the food out of the kitchen. Hopefully they can maintain the quality of what is really good so they can survive their own success: a number of restaurants haven't made it on this spot. Also because I want to go back for some more antipasto and steak!
