The service was excellent - friendly, lovely to the children, and professional. I hate to write a mediocre review because the staff we interacted with were lovely. However, the food itself was incredibly disappointing - presentation was nice but taste, freshness were all lacking. The lobster was mushy, the fish risotto had not much more than a slightly sweet, fishy flavor (and it was a special that required 2 people to order it!), the tuna tartare was almost unseasoned. The view upstairs is so cool of the castle and sunset and the ambience inside is modern and cool. But it was our most expensive meal of the trip and the food was the worst we experienced. It would be great if they could elevate the food to match the experience - I think Lazise overall needs some better restaurant options...

Very nice located restaurant with superb food and excellent service! You pay for it but thats worth it easily. If you want to eat something else than the standard Italian restaurants with their standard menus, dont hesitate, come to this place.

Goed eten, goede bediening en leuke locatie. Bovengemiddeld goed restaurant. De prijs ligt iets hoger dan van de vele traditionele Italiaanse restaurants in de buurt. Met name visgerechten. Alleen over de desserts waren de meningen verdeeld. Met name de tiramisu parfait beviel niet zo goed. Leek totaal niet op een tiramisu. De smaak kwam niet in de buurt. Het ijsdessert bestond uit 3 kleine schepjes mousse achtig ijs. De smaak was goed, maar de uitvoering matig.

Food and service were excellent . Made for a very special anniversary. There knowledge of the food and wine is exceptional . One of the best meals we had for as long time.

A nice and and relaxed restaurant, so good to be in a place that was not crowded like all the other restaurants around. The food was really special, all very tasty and colourful. Most was fish and seafood. For children probably not a place to go, there are no typical children‘s things on the menu. We also liked the friendly service, it was a pleasure to dine there.

We went to Porta Lion for my wife's 40th birthday and we couldn't have had a better night. Great food, great service, great experience. The location is second to none in Lazise.

We really enjoyed our dinner. Such a amazing and stunning view from the balcony. Beautiful sunset between the old castle wall. Also the staff really kind and they made also our night. With a good tempo between the courses and the wine. Also the food was delicious, we can really recommend the tarbot fish. Nice sweet little desserts when we got the check and also a limoncello from the house after we have paid. A hidden gem in Lazise, we would really recommend it to go for a romantic dinner.
