Restaurant was outside of Main Road, more peaceful área. Food was nicely presented with small details that tops the overall. Service - experts. Food itself was 8/10, products were fresh but few things were not correct.

The cuisine was excellently prepared Sicilian dishes and flavors expertly prepared and included. The Pasta Norman was the best I have ever had or ever will have. The quality of the dishes surpassed the cost. The service is excellent as well. I will return.

Very tasteful food and an excellent service. The wine was delicious and perfect for our meal white wine for the fish and red wine for the veal. I liked my dessert very much, but my husband was a little disappointed with the tiramisu

We loved our meal at Porta Terra! Wonderful service and everything we ate from 1st course to dessert to the great wine list, was delicious. The location is perfect. Would highly recommend a meal here if you visit Cefalu.

Wonderful evening. Staff were considerate and attentive with wine and food selection. Food and service were excellent, with quaint touches to be remembered. Good selection of tastes and textures. Atmosphere beside fountain and with sunset glow in the night sky topped the evening off.

Very nice ambience and the personnel is very attentive. Food was excellent. Typical for this restaurant is that most dishes are prepared “slow cooking. We went for a starter, first and second but the servings are such that this was too much. Smaller portions would do for the price asked.

If there would be a way to give more than a 10 rating I wouldn't hesitate! My family and I absolutely fell in love with this restaurant and the staff. The reasons are below. 1. Best food we have eaten...maybe ever! - We ate there 3 times (No, I am not joking) and we tried just about everything on the menu. Every plate from the fish, meat, antipasti and dessert was all absolutely delicious++ The flavors were perfectly thought through and perfectly cooked. 2. The wine - Antonio (the main waiter and sommelier) is an expert in Sicilian wine and gave us a 'gastronomical' wine tour of Sicily. From sparkling to white and red to dessert wine and even their own limoncello....what more to say? 3. The service - They were so helpful and listened to our every desire! 4. The price - And for all the above, we didn't break the bank! There can't be any other better value/money on the island. 5. The Place - Porta Terra is in Place Garibaldi with a great ambiance and a lovely fountain. They even had heaters outside so we ate out 2 times in April! There is just no other restaurant that stacks up to Porta Terra. We would go back to Sicily just to eat here!

located half the way from the railway station to the Cathedral on a small square, this restaurant has some nice outside tables around a little fountain. the menue is not all to big, but offers some interesting dishes, all done tasty and fresh. for two antipasti, two primi, four glasses of wine, one sweet and two coffee, the bill came up to a 100 Euro. Not the cheapest place for a lunch, but it was worth it.

This restaurant experience was excellent from start to finish. The server was very helpful and professional, and he was knowledgeable about the wine list. The atmosphere in the outdoor square with the fountain was delightful. And the food was delicious. All of our dishes were quite good - the wine choice with help of server was worth lingering over, the eggplant main course was memorable and loved the Sicilian salad as well. The best meal we had in Cefalu. Thank you Porta Terra!

Excellent restaurant. Staff very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Small menu but that meant that each dish was freshly made and easy to customise for food allergies/intolerances. My wife is gluten and lactose intolerant and was able to have a great meal thanks to the waiting and kitchen staff. Highly recommended.

Maten var delvis smaklös (pasta) och fiskrätterna vi åt Svärdfisk stank fusk och hade stark frän fisksmak. Tonfisken i sig var ok, men kombinationen med mullbärssås och inlagd rödlök gjorde sig inget vidare. Mht till tidigare recensioner hade vi högre förväntningar.

hej, tack för din recension. vi brukar inte svara, men i det här fallet verkar det lämpligt att göra några förtydliganden. Det är inte svärdfisken som gav ifrån sig doften och smaken den talar om, utan mullet bottarga, som är fermenterade och saltade fiskägg som ger rätten den där speciella aromen som du kanske gillar eller inte. det är på ingredienslistan så det var att vänta. I övrigt tackar vi för att du har varit i vår restaurang och vi tar gärna emot dig i framtiden.
