Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. The waiters made us feel welcome as soon as we walked through the door. The food was impeccable. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

An amazing historic restaurant adjacent to the Fish Market, one of the oldest places in Italy, Casanova apparently used to eat there (oysters, no doubt). Wonderful fish and shellfish dishes. We will go back next time in Venice.

The restaurant Poste Vecie was a very good and welcoming place. The service was really good. They offered us a welcoming Proseco in the beginning. The place was very quiet and very peacefully. The food was even better. It was so fresh and very good cooked. They offered also seasonal dishes and a variety of wines. We really loved our experience at this restaurant. They also brought us a birthday cake as a surprise. The price was worth the value and the quality of the food was very high.
I would totally recommend it to people who like to have good dishes and have special tastes.

Really nice helpful staff and good quality food. Menu could have had a little more variety but what we had was very good. Wine costs compatible with most other authentic Venetian restaurants, but of a better quality than some we've experienced during our stay. A good romantic restaurant.

Excellent dinner.
Started with complimentary glass of Prosecco (a very welcoming touch)
My husband and I shared an appetizer of spaghetti with vognole clams.
I had veal with a very light Marsala sauce. It was a thick and boneless , served slightly pink, very tender.
My dish came with steamed veggies and they were delicious.
My husband had a piece of grilled bronzini covered with slightly sautéed spinach and radicchio.
We each had a glass of wine.
Lovely service and nice quiet atmosphere.
The restaurant can be difficult to find but get yourself to the fish market and it is just across a tiny bridge almost tucked under the fish market.

I am glad I picked here to have our last meal in this nautical city. This restaurant literally aged 518 years as it started in 1500. We mainly ordered seafood; scallops as appetizer, grilled monkfish, black tagliolini with crab meat and grilled eel (yes! Eel) served with foamy mashed potato. Everything was fresh and cooked to our likes. We got mango cream with ice cream as a dessert and we were more than satisfied. Mango cream was so nice served after being chilled. I would recommend it to everyone.
Price: surprisingly within normal Venice range, ie, not expensive not cheap but reasonable. Pasta are 15-18 euro. Fish dishes are 21-24 euro. Beef steak is around 24.
Location: 5 minutes walk from Rialto bridge.

Dinner started out nicely with octopus, which was tender and tasty, and shrimp tempura, which was crisp and not greasy. However, the slow cooked veal cheek was bland as were the sauces (one of which resembled ketchup). The crab pasta was seriously lacking crab, although there were bits of crab shells in the pasta. The steamed seasonal vegetables were sautéed, not steamed. We expected better quality based on the ratings.

It really was a fantastic experience. Best sea bass I’ve ever had and the octopus was to die for. Wish we could have stayed for dessert but after three courses we were sorted!

It was such pleasure to dine in the oldest restaurant in Venice. Service was just a bit slow, but it was very busy Friday night, so we didn't mind. We enjoyed the evening.
My youngest ordered gnochi with wild duck (he doesn't like sea food) and that was excellent dish - meaning meat dishes are equaly good in the restaurant as the sea food.

We enjoyed Venetian regional cuisine. Everything was very delicious.
It is regrettable that we did not eat risotto and tiramisu on a full stomach. When I come to Venice again, I want to repeat. Thank you!

This is a very atmospheric and pleasant restaurant, with attentive and friendly service. The food was however unequal: the starter Cicchetti were excellent and so was my octopus, but my husband and daughter did not rave about the pasta dishes, they were good, but not the very best.

I've been there 6 years ago and I loved the place. After pasted years, I think their service just perfect as I remembered. Really love the place.
