Both food and service are excellent, fish is a must and we were very happy with the wine advice the waiter gave us. Unfortunately it was the last evening otherwise we would have definitely come back.

Had a good time there! The food was great, I absolutely loved the lobster with spaghetti! Make sure you have also a spritz! They do it slightly different from usual ! Loved the room, found it quite romantic! The fact that it is necessary to Cross a little wooden Bridge to get in the restaurant made my venizian experience even better

We just finished our dinner at Poste Vecie and If I had one word to describe it, it would be disappointing.
The food was great, cannot complain about that.
However, I reserved a table over a month in advance of our visit, knowing I would be proposing to my girlfriend of the time, and wanted a romantic location to celebrate, and this place is listed as one of the most romantic in Venice.
Despite our reservations it seems we were seated in a "party room". We were seated next to a large group of 16, that had 8 young children. Instead of a romantic atmosphere we were surrounded by loud, running, shouting children and the sounds of Sonic the Hedgehog, as one of them brought their Nintendo Switch and were loudly playing it throughout our dinner. It felt more like we were at a TGI Fridays, or Applebee's.
Further, the service was terrible. Our dishes were hastily dropped in front of us with little to no explanation. As an example, we ordered a sampler of 3 oysters. The waiter nearly forgot to tell us which oysters were which, and provided no explanation on where these oysters where from, or what the seasonings accompanying them were.
We also ordered a bottle of wine and the just placed the bottle on our table stating that they ran out of stands for the wine. This left us extremely cramped at our 2 person table. Not a big deal except when the table next to us ordered wine they were able to find a stand. I would expect that if they obtained an extra stand they would have brought it to us, the table already waiting for one.
In summary, good food (but that is not hard to find in Venice), but poor atmosphere and service ruined the experience

toilette smell while entering, no bread, Grissini on table (other guest got it), no oil, salt, pepper, rose wine run out, portions small, polenta cold, dishes not brought away ans no question if anything is needed while x-times pasing the table, so we took dolce somewhere else ... and i remeber the good food an service 40 years ago on this hidden place

The steaks we order were so dried. The seating was so tight. Service was so bad. One we paid...they said the need the table back in 5 minutes but there was other tables available and no guest was waiting. Never come back again!

We had a little problem finding it, but here's how. If you're at the fish market, with your back to the Grand Canal, there's a tiny wooden bridge to your right. It leads to the front door of the restaurant. There's a sign over the door.

We were greeted kindly, with a glass of prosecco at no charge. The menu choices were unusual and creative. We shared a sublime appetizer of melon, prosciutto, arugula, and mozzarella. With a little olive oil and some sea salt, we were in Heaven.

My entree of tuna steak crusted in chopped pistachios was juicy and tender. It tasted sushi-grade. The crunch of the nuts was a nice texture complement. It arrived with haricorts vert and a bit of asparagus. My husband tried the veal cheeks. They were tender, juicy, and flavored with fresh mushrooms. Grilled polenta was added. Both of us loved our dishes. And the dessert of chocolate and fruit was the best!

Beautiful setting, elegant, arty. I'm sending my friends!

Such a special elegant place but not pricey as it would seem., plus the 20% Fork deal made it even better. I enjoyed the prosciutto, melon & mozzarella as anti-pasti. Never had one as good and was would be hard to beat. My steak for dinner was another winner. Loved the Demi glacé sauce. Also, I don’t generally like Tiramisu but loved it here. The ones in the States are too soggy for me. The service was excellent and it is just a special place after the opera.

Venice restaurants are hit or miss. This one was a hit! The location is in the heart of the touristic center...but we were SO happy with Poste Vecie! The quality of the food and wine! Servers were excellent! The seafood was wonderfully fresh and well prepared. Even the duck gnocci was outstanding (a pleasant surprise for a fish rest). Thank you Poste Vecie for a great evening, and good reviews that led us to a memorable evening! Ps: Try the monkfish...divine!
