A great little restaurant, with a lovely atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. A disappointing choice of wine by the glass My husbands soup was served and then I waited another 15 minutes or more for my starter. That was a disappointment, especially when they could easily have kept the soup in the pan until my starter was ready.

The food and the service at Prosa were both first class - we had steak tartare, the dish of the day, a desert of crème brûlée and tangerine sorbet - all were excellent. It was lunchtime and for the whole meal we were the only people in the restaurant so it was very quiet - but I am sure that evenings are busier. Well worth it.

This restaurant, located in the only 5 star hotel in Aveiro, had impeccable classic service, like you rarely if ever see anymore, in a lovely surrounding, with beautiful rooms and a lovely view the courtyard. We were offered the 4 course tasting dinner, or the 6 course or the 8 course. This is in addition to 2 amuse-bouche, included with all the menus. Dinner started off with wonderful bread with 3 different spreads. A great start. The 2 free appetizers were very good (n’avalai in a cone; very good seaweed salad). Thereafter, aside from the first course which included black pork very thinly sliced and smoked eel, and was excellent. The other courses were downhill. Very olive heavy and salty, beautifully presented but lacking in flavour. The seafood curry was frankly bad. Other dishes looked tantalizing but disappointed more often than not, including the dessert. Service was very solicitous and asked repeatedly if we were enjoying the food. However, they needed only to glance at what we left over to see that something was amiss. The total came to 200 Euros (300 Can $) which is quite steep for a meal that left disappointed. Could not recommend, unfortunately

I venture to say this is the best fine dining restaurant in Aveiro. The food, the service and the ambience is top notch! I can see a Michelin Star in their future. Will be back again and again. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We tried the executive menu and everything was absolutely perfect. Each course had a personality of its own, while connecting with the other courses very beautifully. The appetizers, main dishes and the dessert were very well-balanced, while each element of each dish was also able to stand out on its own. The portions were very adequately generous and, the service was amazing, and the staff was very welcoming and thoughtful. Will definitely come back.

It was an executive menu but the food was amazing. The egg boiled on low temperature just awesome!! Duck breast delicious. Very good wine list. Best restaurant in quality/price relationship in Portugal. Congratulations to Mr. Rui Paula and team

The restaurant ambience is very chill and proper for a culinary experience as we went there for the 6 course meal. The staff were very friendly and professional, taking care of us the entire time and making sure we were enjoying our evening. The food was also good, various dishes with interpretations of Portuguese cuisine and with some french cuisine techniques. I will certainly go there again, but this time for the 8 course menu with wine pairing, which by the 6 course bench mark, will be an entire evening event. But see for yourself.
