Pur was strongly recommended by a highly reliable source. Food were impressive and exceeded my expectation, But the entire experience was unfortunately dragged down by the service. Staff were just going through the motion. As a patron, it is easy to tell if the staff is sincerely there to serve or just checking the boxes.

This is no doubt one of the best dinner I had in Paris. I ordered the eight courses tasting menu with wine pairing. The food is innovative and the service added to its success. Will come back the next time in town.

Pur was a great meal. I ordered from the a la carte menu: a new dish for spring of morel mushrooms and the lobster tail. Both were magnificent. Refined service, not stuffy - indeed I found everyone to be quite cordial and friendly. The space is nicely appointed, with wide spaces between the tables, a fairly quiet space. it was an especially welcome touch for Jean-Francois Rouquette to go to every table and personally ensure that all was well. Indeed it was.
