Brilliant staff, very helpful in every way possible. Excellent food, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a restaurant with quality.

I wanted to book a traditional restaurant for my boyfriend's birthday in Porto. Raiz did not disappoint! Gorgeous restaurant with a romantic atmosphere. Staff were amazing and so friendly. Food was lovely..particularly the Octopud ceviche and rack of lamb. The chocolate Birthday cake the staff brought over was delicious too. Highly recommend Raiz. Would definitely return.

Excellent food and the service is exquisite. I do suggest to improve the quantity of light in the room. I will return for sure.

Very good food, not very expensive, good service

Within expectations without the WOW factor moment. A bit too expensive for the food experience. Staff is very friendly and Miguel, our host, was super nice.

The staff was very friendly, the location is lovely they play good music and the food was very delicious. The portions were bigger than we expected. The house wine is very good and not pricey.

This was the perfect way to end our trip to Port. The food was outstanding (octopus ceviche, lamb and octopus as main dishes). Totally worth every penny. Outstanding friendly multilingual service with perfect recommendations.

Our first night in Porto and we decided to give Raiz a go. Miguel was our server and he took great care of us. We tried the salt cod fritters (which are so good!!), Pica pau and sausage tiborna to start. The portions were generous. For mains we choose the cod with honey and the pork. Both of which were divine. I was so stuffed by the starters that I struggled to finish the main course. A beautiful traditional restaurant with great food and even better staff. Highly recommend!

Our second visit to Raiz, because the first one was so amazing! Miguel (our server) was extremely helpful, friendly and kind; all teh staff make you feel very welcome. The dishes were all very good and hte choice of wine and beer excellent. Plus the view from the room upstairs on the 2nd floor (2 andar) at night, towards Clerigos, is perfect.

Had very pleasant experience. All the dishes we had was excellent. The pork skewer was especially superb. Our server was nice and helpful as well. We would definitely visit again next time in Porto.

Fabulous find..... lovely intimate restaurant with amazing tapas.... highly recommend the scallops. Presentation was great as was the service.

We Were recommended by the concierge at our hotel around the corner and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered small plates and each one was delicious. The restaurant is reasonable priced and we had a lovely dinner

Excellent service and food. Loved everything

Great spot in the centre, We were on the top floor by the window, so good view over the square. Started with asparagus and ham, delicious. A couple of mains, one fish one meat. Lots of fresh vegetables. Excellent local wine recommended by the host. Divine tiramisu to finish. Charming friendly waitress, spoke excellent English. Would highly recommend. Good value.

Great food experience tonight at Raiz. From external it appears very nice but small, but in reality it has 4 floors where you can eat in a pleasant atmosphere. From starters to Porto wine it was a wonderful experience. BRAVI! Dishes were made with high quality ingredients, with special taste thanks to a perfect combination of flavours and with good quantity (luckily no nouvelle cousin!). A special thanks to Miguel, that served us professionally and was always gentle and available.

Particular and romantic atmosphere...The food was very tasty and well introduced to the customers...Suggested. We will come back surely!!!
