The charm and setting of Ockenden Manor was a perfect place to celebrate my mum’s birthday. Quintessentially English. However, tea bags were used rather than tea leaves and we weren’t helped on with our coats.

Lovely place, such a quintessentially English setting for afternoon tea. Food was nice but a couple of the cakes were sickly sweet. Would be nice to have less cakes and a little savoury pastry instead. Don’t like a percentage service being automatically added to the bill, even if noted as complimentary. Should always be completely at the customer choice

We hoped to get lunch but had to settle for tea. It was nice but there was a little to much sweet content for my taste. I have eaten lunch there before and would like to do so again but the tea is not for me I'm afraid, and for £35 I think it was mediocre and thus over priced.
