About the restaurant Restaurant Buddha

"LOVERS OF INDO-NEPALESE CUISINE - this restaurant is for you. The Buddha welcomes you as a friend for a different culinary journey made only of indo-Nepalese dishes, prepared by a Nepalese chef using a real Tandoori oven. In short, authentic!

CLASSICS AND MUCH MORE - as main dishes, find Chicken Tikka Massala, lamb Shaki Korma, Momos. Open fire with the establishment's specialties like the mixed pakoda platter or Bara (black lentils patties with Nepalese spices). Do not forget the delicacies like Gulaab Jamun.

METRO LES GOBELINS - between the Boulevard Arago and Boulevard de Port Royal, between Val de Grace and la Pitié-Salpêtrière, the Buddha has made the North of the 13th his home. A good plan for your birthday celebrations or theme nights."

Not spicy enough for my taste. I’m use to the Australian version of Indian. Waiter was very kind with my French.

As the previous reviews indicated, the welcome is warm, papadums and then complimentary vegetable naan is produced almost at once. The server speaks English and French, and is a charmer. We had the best overall experience for Indian cuisine in over 35 years of visiting Paris.

I was there for the birthday of my boyfriend and we really enjoyed the food there. Even though it was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed, the service was impeccable, the waiters very attentive and we got the chance to chat a bit with them. We were served also a complementary appetizer consisting of a roti with sauces and a vegetable naan. I had a full Nepalese meal with the daal lentils gallette, the Momo and the gulab jamun as dessert! My boyfriend had the mix pakora (Nepalese) which he loved and the chicken tikka (Indian) which was really hot for him. His dessert was a good halwa (not exceptional). I recommend this place if you like Indian/Nepalese flavors and if you love to be in restaurants where they put all theirselves in their job!!!

Great food and a great waiter. He maid it a small party for us with a lot of jokes and good recommendations. At the end we got a small traditional drink, just the perfect ending to a nice diner!

Amazing food and service! My girlfriend and I had some Nepalese dumplings to share, a lamb curry, a chicken korma, and some mango ice cream for dessert. Everything was impeccable, full of flavor, and the meats were perfectly cooked. Our host, Mike, was great - very attentive and thoughtful. Overall, would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in Paris looking to break away from the traditional French fare. Even if you've never had Nepalese or Indian food, the flavors are very accessible and delicious!
