About the restaurant Restaurant gastronomique de l'Abbaye de Talloires

CADRE HISTORIQUE - Dans la baie éponyme, au bord de la Via Consularis qui menait de Milan à Strasbourg, les bénédictins ont érigé au XVIIe cette splendide abbaye où l'on vient se ressourcer, comme Cézanne en son temps et Jean Reno, plus récemment. Tel son reflet dans les eaux du lac d'Annecy, accessibles aux hôtes depuis les pontons et la plage privés, l'abbaye est intacte. L'enceinte du cloître abrite de somptueuses chambres meublées Empire ou XVIIIe.

CÔTÉ CUISINE - Le Chef, Fabrice Taulier, vous suggère les gnocchis faits maison au fromage blanc en entrée, puis le la pièce de bœuf de nos régions, pomme savonnette en Parmentier. Pour le dessert, le "citrus x-paradisi" à base de pamplemousse, bergamote et crème glacée au timut ...

SOUS LE CHARME - Les salons feutrés, les terrasses délicieuses, la belle cuisine inspirée, ces lieux chargés d'histoire : l’Abbaye de Talloires saura à coup sûr vous charmer !

From excellent duck fillet, perfectly cooked, to good starters but too small and really too cold for the current weather to disappointing service. not a good value for money, even less on a supposed American Express "tous au restaurant" promo. We have been customer of the hotel and the restaurant for almost twenty years now. the place and the atmosphere remain exceptional, but I would suggest you revisit your approach of a "tous au restaurant" initiative.

Very nice restaurant with professional service. We had the €96 menu and it was absolutely delicious. All courses were plated beautifully and the portions just the right size. Definitely to be recommended.

I was told when I turned up that shorts were not allowed although I had received no information from you to tell me there was any dress code. I was ask if it was far for me to get back and change when I said it was, they said they would find a table where no one would see me. I was treated like something the cat brought in and it spoilt the evening for me.

Very good food in a an amazing setting. Incredibly romantic. Food dishes were hit and miss. Seems like at times they were trying to be too complex. Attentive wait staff but difficult time getting the check.

Beautiful setting and very good food. An excellent combination! Only suggestion would be to note raw dishes - my parents had a few unpleasant surprises from the market menu.

An old favourite of ours, we naturally chose l'Abbaye (birthdays, anniversaries), for our wedding anniversary dinner with family. The setting is just woderful on the lovely terrace in the gardens ovelooking the lake. The food was beautifully cooked and presented. A perfect summer evening!
