We were in Paris only 4 days and found ourselves at La Poutre twice. We stumbled across it on our first day after checking in at our hotel following a lengthy Eurostar ride. We we very hungry and we're surprised how delicious the food from such an unassuming facade was. On our last day here after running through tons of more well known option for food, we decided to visit this local restaurant instead. The staff are lovely and remembered us, which is a nice feeling anywhere in the world, the food is simple and delicious and gave us the experience we were looking for. We enjoyed the fondue and will come back again when we are able too. We watched them seat and serve many large families after visits to Sacre Cuer, the food is quick but no one rushes you which we found refreshing on our busy trip. If you are a family, aren't comfortable practicing your French but want authentic food or are simply looking for something off the busy tourist path I would highly recommend this little gem.
