After a very slow start, 35 mins to take our drink and food order things improved. Perhaps the restaurant was busy and the Covid 19 limitations were making life difficult for the staff, however no one tried to communicate any reason for delays to us, no apologies. Had to walk up to the bar to ask for our order to be taken. Food and drink when it finally arrived was of a good quality.
Restaurant let down by staff who are uninterested in serving. With one notable exception but of course this one person couldn't make up for the poor service overall. Loire red wine needs to be served very slightly chilled, but both bottles we ordered were warm. Overall, the food was good-ish, but unfortunately the shortcomings put me off returning, and I enjoy eating in restaurants on holiday & at home. Sorry that my review is not more positive.
It took an hour to get water. We received a bottle of wine after an hour and a half but they did not open it for 20 minutes. We did not receive food for two hours. There must have been a total staff meltdown. Do not go here!
Friendly service !
THe food was pretty much as it should be, no more no less. He price was reasonable and the wine recommendation was quite good.
Excellent. Strongly recommended.
Fort longtemps mais fort long.
A very attractive restaurant nicely decorated and with friendly and attentive staff. Service was well carried out and we both ate well from the Menu fixe and enjoyed the food which was well cooked and served with an eye to the 'look' of the plate. Thank you
A very beautiful setting with an interesting menu and a friendly service. Recommended!
Our experience was confusing at the start, as we had to check in at hotel reception for our dinner reservation, but everything after that was great. The food was creative but still emphasized taste over presentation. Our main course of chicken with garden peas and butter beans was one of my favorites of our entire trip--bright and fresh and delicious. Service including the cheese course took about two hours, but it was a lovely way to spend a summer evening, watching the sun set over the village. Highly recommended.
Wonderful location just accross the entrance of Abbeye de Fontevraud
