Excellent
What a huge disappointment! We are so extremely unsatisfied with our dinner. The setting of the restaurant is cold and average, no warm feeling. The menu we had, was a classic choice, we could have had in any other gastronomic restaurant. Zero surprise, zero soul. No research of creativity. The quality is good but no flavour, no taste, even the presentation of the plate was the same as you can expect in any other good restaurant. The wine was ok. The place was very noisy. Difficult to park your car around. Even how the plate was decorated, it was so expected, so average, where is the personal touch? We had a cheese plate at the end, 90% of the cheeses were French. Why not working was locals? At the end, when we paid we express our big disappointment, the woman who was responsible for the service, was very arrogant and unfriendly. She was upset on us that we did not enjoy, and almost told us that we were wrong, she was not listening and just defending. It gave us even a worse feeling, we said NEVER again. We were not welcome to tell it was not a nice dinner. The cherry on the cake is that I mentioned it was the birthday of my husband, but they ignored totally! Even not a simple “ Gefeliteerd met je verjaardag!” Nothing
We had another great evening at Lucas Rive. We were seated on the patio with a nice view on the water and the boats. As always the service was impeccable but with a personal touch and the food and amuses delicious, a beautiful combination of flavors and colors. We will definitely be back.

On Saturday the 17th of February i enjoyed a marvelous dinner at Lucas Rive. We are guests who know what hospitality is and are not the most easy guests you can have in a restaurant. We look at all the small details. When entering the restaurant the servers where waiting for us and guided us to our table. Our table host was a very friendly young lady who welcomed us. She was elegant in her appearance. A lot of high class restaurant can take notes in how the service staff present themselves. Elegant, crisp, clean, friendly and above all very professional. It was a special occasion for me and my partner. Just to make sure of our wishes and exceptions our elegant hostess repeated our allergies and came up with suggestions in what we could eat. There was no need for us to worry as they were already prepared. Our table was located next to the kitchen (chefs Table). The table gave a perfect overview of the kitchen and restaurant. When looking at the restaurant you can think of a home from home. Very stylish chairs, couches and dining tables. The chairs where very comfortable and the height of the tables just right. Walls filled with small decorations and a soft-ish grey color. It breathed tranquility and gives you the feeling that you can sit down and enjoy the ride. We started with a nice aperitif of cava. One of the best ones i have tried so far. The hostess had exquisite timing. She knew when to visit us and when not to ask for to much attention. As you would expect from a fine dining restaurant. Unfortunately to much restaurants don't know how to do this correctly. I can say that the staff at Lucas Rive knows this to perfection. We enjoyed a 6 course meal with tremendously simple ingredients but cooked to perfection. I didn't know that you could make a simple dutch course such as (boerenkool) tastes so good!. This surprised us and we really enjoyed this style. In my opinion there can be said that Lucas Rive has the perfect balance in price, quality, service, food and ambiance. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to my friends, family and business partners.
We had a lovely evening at Lucas Rive - the food was great, the wine pairings also, and it's a beautiful space. I would have preferred a round table as we were with 5, and the acoustics were a bit loud to hear everyone at the table and enjoy conversation. There was a few mishaps with the service - I agree with the other reviewer that small things were a bit annoying but overall we had a pleasant evening. Dinner for 5 was €445 for chef's menu with wine arrangement.
