Delicious food! We had tried Ethiopian before, but this place really surprised us. The food was tasty, with plenty of spice and lots of vegan options, too. We'll definitely be back for more.

I went here with a group of friends, and we had one of our best nights together. The hosts are wonderful and they help you choose the food and the drinks, while introducing you to the cultural aspect of it. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the food is delicious, Expect to have a freshly made enjera, which of course pairs wonderfully with the rest of the meal. And don't forget to ask them for a drink at the end of the meal - the hosts will be happy to recommend you a nice liquor to end your meal!

Better than expected after reading the reviews on Iens! I did feel somewhat deceived having to pay 30 euros, therefore not really receiving the second 3-course menu free with the Albert Heijn coupon. Entree was indeed small-portioned, main course was enough and of good tase. Dessert included either a small bowl of yogurt with seeds or icecream on a layer of honey (instead of the promised 'honey-icecream'). I liked the special beers, price does vary up to 4,75 euros. The service was mostly fine!

This place is run very badly. We realized after stepping out that we were charged much more than due. The host is oppressively nagging, and trying to make you buy the most expensive items, make you order more... ridiculous. The constant feeling is to be cheated upon, even before the bill. Well, food wasn't bad, but who cares, under these circumstances? They need someone in the restaurants that serves dinner without much fooling around and sucking on people's pokets. Besides, promoting their own restaurant through self-reviews... come on! (are there any real ones, one wonders?) Never again for sure.

Around noon we had decided to go for Ethiopian or Eritrean food that night. While strolling through the city, the name Serengeti caught our attention from the other side of the street. A glance through the window revealed the joy and kindness of Africa and we were in. What followed was a surprising experience. The food is excellent, tasty and served on the typical enormous plate that makes the dinner into a wonderful sharing experience. If you expect the service to be the typical polite plastered smile to please the customer, you'll come out wrong. Service is warm as the African continent. If you are in a hurry, and of the nervous kind, don't go here, as the food is prepared fresh and you need the time to relax and enjoy. Certainly wort to take a D-tour if it is not on your route.

Arrived on a Friday evening looking for an authentic African experience, and found it.
Warm decor with vibrant colors, which put you immediately in the African savannah..
The owner is also the waiter, as there are few tables so one gets personal attention.
First was the choice of african beer, my party of 3 chose coconut, mango and palm flavoured beer which tasted of the africa sun, with authentic fruity notes, all served in beautiful calabashes.

We chose 3 different dishes which were served in a large tray, two aromatic meat dishes and one vegetarian dish.

All were delicious, accompanied by several small dishes and a fermented pancake as the starch..
The authenticity was topped by the fact that all is eaten by hand!:)
This is a place to go back to several times to sample their menu and the delicious multi flavoured beer.

An area of improvement would be to offer the guests a calabash to wash their hands priour to eating as is African custom...we had to wash our hands in the clean bathroom upstairs...
