The service was perfect. The atmosphere was nice, although it was quite cold due to the air conditioning. What wasn‘t that good was our main course because it reached our table already being cold, that was disappointing. The taste was fine though.

Stayed 2 nights at the Parador. First night, my wife had one of the house specialties monkfish with lime and coconut. The fish was so smothered in a thick sauce that you could not taste the fish at all. The second night, I had the pasta with mushrooms and shredded foie and my wife had the sea bass in a pouch with vegetables. The pasta had a peculiarly sweet taste and the texture of the mushrooms was mushy. The sea bass was more fishy tasting than sea bass should be. No complaints what so ever about the service. They were attentive and very pleasant. Wish the food was at the level of the service.

We eat at Parador St Domingo de la Calzada on 24 March and at the Fork on 25 March. The quality of the food and cooking at St Domingo was far superior to that at the Fork. Thus my wife had lamb at St Domingo while I had it at the Fork. It was much, much tastier at St Domingo as at the Fork the portion was poor and rather dry and over cooked. The Vension at St Domingo was excellent whereas the pork at the Fork was fine but nothing outstanding. The cheeses at the Fork were rather bland.
