8/10I think this is a very good restaurant. The food is well cooked, generous and represents good value. We noticed that diners were only given one menu per table which seemed a bit odd, may have just been a blip on the actual day we dined. Overall a minor point and should not distract from the fact that it’s a very good restaurant that I would recommend to others and indeed return to.

2.5/10We booked a table, having been told it was a must, and found the place almost empty. The staff clearly didn't care about the reservation, they showed us to the first table after barely greeting us (but good that they had space, I guess). Went there on a Tuesday, specifically to try the duck rice, and we were told it was finished. No apology. I'd have appreciated it more if they'd told us when bringing the menu, rather than when we started ordering. We may have left at that point and saved ourselves more disappointment. We ordered cod croquettes as a starter and they were served still frozen on the inside. The server kept insisting that was not true - yes, it was, both of us bit into two separate frozen croquettes. We left to go somewhere else (still offering to pay for the croquettes) as this is unacceptable. They tried to have us pay in full for our main, which we had ordered no more than five minutes earlier, and immediately ask to cancel.

9/10If you’re looking for a traditional family Portuguese restaurant this is a great choice. The food is good, the wine list has loads of options at very reasonable prices, the service is great and it’s buzzing - by 8.00pm it was absolutely full! A great experience - just make sure you book!

8.5/10There wasn’t an empty table in sight and people were queueing outside! Of it’s kind, the food was very good and there were copious quantities. We had cod croquettes to start and the following pork loin was delicious. Our waiter worked extremely hard and we had very impressive service.

6/10We visited on a Tuesday with reservations. We chose the bacahla (for which they are known) and the Duck Rice. The waiter said “no Duck Rice, only seafood “, so we didn’t review anything other than the seafood section. We chose Tuna Steak. While we were eating, it became apparent to us that, literally half the restaurant was having ham shank, so we were confused as to why we were told only fish. I suppose we could have made a fuss, but felt it was just better to enjoy what we had. I did miss that there was no peper on the table. My first dinner there after having a wonderful sardine lunch earlier.

10/10A truly local Portuguese restaurant. Went on a date and asked for a bottle of wine. The server said “the woman always tastes the wine and the man always pays for the wine”! A lovely experience, super affordable, good food.

10/10Great little restaurant! The service was terrific, the waiter was very funny. The food was superb, we had two pork dishes, and both were excellent. Reasonable pricing all in all, one of our favorite places in Porto.

10/10We arrived at the restaurant but the restaurant was not notified of our reservation made via thefork. However, Antunes went above and beyond to provide us a table even though it was a full house. The server said sometimes the app does fail to notify the restaurant reservation is made and to phone just to double confirm reservation has been received

9.5/10Once a place just for locals, Antunes is now also known to tourists who come to taste uncomplicated traditional food . Don’t expect to easily get a table if you have not booked ahead. Place is usually really busy and for a reason: generous portions, fresh ingredients and very reasonable prices. Service is as fast and nice as it can get, no matter how busy the restaurant is. Menu offers a good variety of fish and meat courses as well as delicious desserts. Everything is home made. Despite its popularity among locals and visitors, the place retains the charm of old times, it has remained unchanged not following the fast pace that’s transforming the city. Their specialty is the roasted pork knuckle and you’d better come with a big appetite since it’s a huge portion. If you like roasted pork you will not be disappointed. Tucked away in an alley five minutes walk from Bolhāo market and behind Trindade station. Everything in this area is vibrant and full of life and Antunes is no exception.

10/10Our waiter was absolutely fantastic. So funny and helped us pick out some delicious food. We had the cod cakes and sausage as a starter. Then, for dinner we split the pork knee and the veal. Everything was wonderful and the waiter had us laughing everytime he stopped at our table. It was a great experience for our entire family (even for our two teenage kids). Great authentic food at a good price. I highly recommend it.

10/10Our visit to this local restaurant was a great success. The food was very good and well presented, the staff very friendly and helpful. The atmosphere and other clients also very friendly, we all ended the evening chatting together. Very reasonable priced.

9/10Cozy restaurant. Looks quiet from the outside but business is busting inside. Waiter will make small talk with all the guests and give recommendations. Was there on Tuesday, wanted to try their Tuesday speciality but was informed not available, tried their roasted veal instead. Garlic bread was served without ordering (guess it's common). It was good though. The codfish cake is really delicious, highly recommended. Roasted veal came with rice. Veal is well cooked. Their signature french toast is a small serving which is good for after food desserts. Overall it's a good experience.

9.5/10Some of us knew about the restaurant and we went there with good expectations. We were not disappointed! The food was amazing and the desserts were quite a nice surprise. A place we would like to revisit in the future for sure. The location is also great on itself but if using personal vehicle, it might be hard to find a parking spot.

9/10We really liked Atunes as a traditional Portuguese restaurant. The Staff were great, welcoming, attentive and friendly. The food is nicely done in a robust way. The signature Pork knee is a large dish, seemingly ordered by almost every table.
