10/10My wife didn't want to eat very much but there was a dish of mixed entrées which were very varied ant tasty; exactly what she needed. I had the full three courses and they were all good. As is often the case, I would have preferred not to have the drone of background music.

4.5/10We chose the Parador for its location and a very enjoyable previous stay. We had dinner on the 17th Sept, on our journey south but did not provide a review because we hoped the poor experience was a one off and did not want to tarnish the reputation of the restaurant. We also had dinner on the 24th Sept on our journey north. On both occasions there had been wedding celebrations, which stopped shortly before dinner service commenced, and there were also several large tables of an organised tour group. The service was slow - in excess of 20 minutes to have an order taken and the main courses were dire in comparison to three other Paradores that we stayed in during our vacation. For the 17th the quality of the ham was poor - not least when compared to that in Merida the following night - the flavour of the sauce with the corvina lacking, the tuna poorly cooked, and the accompanying shallot rock hard. For the 24th raw pork is not inviting and the flavour of the accompanying sauce wholly lacking. What promised to be a fried shallot was rock hard (a common theme?) and its presence in a pan purely fleeting. Whilst the steak was well cooked and tasty the same could not be said of the accompanying potatoes. The staff when able to find time to interact/serve you very very friendly and professional , there just did not seem to be enough of them for the numbers of people in the restaurant. We did not meet the chefs but I can only assume they were exhausted from serving a large wedding group and the large organised tour group since their attention to detail when it came to our food was totally lacking. Just to also add that the breakfast service on Sunday the 25th was also a shambles with food poorly presented and unlabelled and we would still be waiting for our hot food it we had not chased it up.

10/10It was surprising that such a good quality restaurant is hiding on the top-floor of a Parador which itself is off the beaten track. The menu is really varied - I can recommend the foie gras - and portions are generous. The oxtail (served off the bone) was one of the best I've ever had. Wine is reasonably priced. Meal worked out at 60 euros each for three courses and wine which felt really good value for money.

8.5/10The staff is welcoming and very helpful. What I like about paradores is the fact that half of the menu is local/regional. That is a good initiative to promote the region.

9/10Very affordable, given the quality. Great service, with attention. The restaurant is of a great wood architecture under the roof. A nice place to eat, on the way to France from Madrid or vice versa... Also a small cafeteria with a nice terrace is another opportunity.

5/10The staff did not master English well and were not friendly. They just brought us the food, without a word. The quality of the food was disappointing, especially given the price. I have been to several Paradors and this was definitely not the best one.

9.5/10Great the first night - even better on the second when the chef took a riff on the dish, for dietary reasons, and made it special.
