Lovely environment good food, excellent service reasonably priced. We were celebrating a birthday and decided we had seen enough overpriced hamburgers or “crossover cuisine”. We didn’t want to poke in bowls or sushi boxes either. So we went for good quality and old fashioned traditional cuisine. We really were not disappointed. Good service. No amateurs who tried to smile away their unprofessional attitude as usual in the tourist joints along the coast. The filet de merliza was right at the point as was the lamb shoulder. Both were served with an excellent sauce and decorated very appetizingly. So were the starters and the desserts. The wine card proved to be an excellent choice. And so was the garden we could enjoy from our table at the terrace.

Somos amigos oro de Paradores y salimos totalmente defraudados de este Parador. Poco tuvo que ver con las buenas experiencias que habíamos tenido en otros Paradores. En el comedor hacía un calor horrible. El servicio por parte de los camareros fue bastante pobre. Eran excesivamente lentos, había que repetirles las cosas varias veces y echamos en falta muchos detalles como que nos sirvieran el vino o que nos limpiaran la mesa p retiraran todos los platos antes de traer los postres. Había platos vergonzosos. Por ejemplo, la ensalada de hojas de espinaca con queso era ínfima (mucho verde con sólo 2 tomates cherry y 2 trocitos de queso) y el sepionet no sabía a nada. Parecía un plato de hospital. Todo esto no vale lo que tuvimos que pagar por esta cena. Salimos totalmente defraudados. No repetiremos.

Rather disappointing. Anniversary treat and was expensive for average food. Total was over €100. Got charged €2 each for a piece of bread each which was dry. When the starters are €10 each and the mains are over €20 would have thought bread was complimentary. Great location but disappointed at the cost. Think it deserves to be half the price it is.

The Parador chain is one of our favorites, and the restaurants are high quality. Javea did not -disappoint: the staff and service were excellent, and the cuisine was superb. Everything was well prepared, the presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were delicious. We felt well-nourished by both the food and the atmosphere. Much of the menu featured local specialties; everything was first-quality. The chef and the staff deserve a hearty salute for a job well done.

Excellent meal commemorating 90 years of Paradors. All courses other than desert exceeded expectations. Desert rather odd dough balls in cinnamon milk, no doubt a speciality somewhere! Three starters were interested and delicious main course lamb tender and tasty.
