After enjoying an incredible lunch for five people only eight days earlier, On Monday night I invited two guests to join me. It started withe bread and a spoonful of olive oil, previous dining the bottle was left with us, asked if we would order our first and only drink no staff ever asked again if we wanted any more all evening, we were forever attempting to attract somebody. Becoming very disappointed with the service our main course of skewered chicken and rice was unedible, hard and tough, we even thought it was pork, it was so tastless. For 145 euros it was never value.

The hotel was as inviting and meticulously tidy as one would expect from a Parador. The staff in the restaurant were so helpful as our Spanish was fairly limited, we were given the best of service throughout the whole meal, the view outside overlooking the sea added to our enjoyment when eating the finest and well presented tasty food. It was a tremendous experience thank you, so looking forwards to returning.

Comida en familia en este Parador que ya conocíamos. Muy bien el servicio y la comida. Siempre que vamos a comer a algún Parador, nunca salimos defraudados. Siempre que estemos por la zona, cerca de Mojácar, repetiremos la visita.

I love this place. The staff are really, really lovely - if a little strict on COVID rules but I understand that. The food is very good - maybe not haute cuisine - but it draws on regional ingredients and traditions and is well executed, particularly for a seaside resort. Oh, and talking of sea, if you sit out on the terrace at lunchtime the vista is simply wonderful. So good we stayed for 5 hours! Every time we’re in Mojacar we go to the Parador for lunch and will continue to do so.

Es un lugar correcto pero totalmente plano sin nada que resaltar, quizás que la comida no vale nada comimos un secreto de ibérico prácticamente crudo y a prueba de dentaduras por su dureza también comimos lubina al horno con pisto, la lubina cocinada como se hacia hace 30 años totalmente seca. El servicio correcto sin más, en definitiva para no volver.

El problema principal es que no tenían confirmada la reserva que sí que teníamos como efectiva en nuestro @. A partir de aquí hicieron lo posible para poder ofrecernos una mesa, la única que quedaba, pero no era de nuestro agrado, por lo que tampoco podemos saber si hubiese sido diferente en el caso de que la reserva se hubiese gestionado de forma correcta a través de la aplicación horas antes. En fin, que optamos por marchar.

I live in Almeria for few months and it s definitely the best place I have tried so far. In the around you can find really interesting restaurant but the quality and freshness of the food at Marmitia is just amazing, everything is “made to order”. Prices are also really competitive if you compare it to same level restaurants of the around. Love that place, we had lunch inside because of the temperature outiside but I think that a romantic diner outside would be fantastic!! I’ll go back soon to try it.
