Ria Formosa Restaurante

The staff is lovely and so is the food. The table we’d asked for when booking (and calling to check the reservation) wasn’t available upon arrival, so we had to sit inside. The inside is lovely - but the reason I’d booked this restaurant was to show a friend the beautiful views and the terrace- so that was a bit disappointing- but otherwise food and service was absolutely lovely. ☺️ Staff is super helpful.

Very good quality-over-quantity food, in an impressive location with a great view over the harbour and lagoon. It is on the top floor of a hotel, and usually I'd avoid that kind of restaurant but I would recommend this one. We enjoyed everything, and though it was relatively expensive it was worth the money.

Superb setting and incredible food. Went for the tasting menu with paired wines and were massively impressed by the food provided. Probably one of the best hotel meals we have ever eaten with service to match. Very, very good

I choose this restaurant for the location and the nice view in front of the small port in Faro. It was my boyfriend birthday the atmosphere was very nice and relaxing and the staff was friendly and very helpful. They make our stay very special. I would definitely come back and the food is excellent. We order the Menu taste and the food was very good!

Good service. Relaxing atmosphere with lovely views. Fois gras dish was excellent but the ravioli was far too thick, too many to eat and bland. this was disappointing as my husband's three dishes were very good.

The atmosphere was not warm or welcoming. The service correct yet not personal. The dishes we not special and again no effort to make it enjoyable to make you come back.

Good service and nice location with beautiful view, however the food could improve a lot. The duck was not as tender as it should be. The lamb was a bit tasteless. Too pricey compared to food quality.

Unforgettable atmosphere, elegant local, polite and professional and patient staff, imaginative and complete menù, very detailed wine list, good mise en place. We had a great time for the last evening in Faro.

Fantastic place with stunning view

The food was very good, the service is good but not excellent, we had to ask again for bread and a glass of wine. The wine list could be longer. Also no doggie bags!! I only ate half my meal and wanted to take the rest home, couldn´t do it. The duck was really excellent, my steak was very good, the sauce on the pasta was so-so. The staff was lovely with my friend´s birthday.

Everything perfect. The only thing I can complain is that the prices are higher then the media. But quality is Very good.

Absolutely fantastic meal, great view and great service. We will definitely visit again and maybe stay at the Hotel next time

Very nice service and the best scallops and crab appetiser ever. Five star restaurant with reasonable prices on both food and wine.

The food was delicious and the service excellent. We enjoyed every min.

Nice setting and relaxed atmosphere. We had a toddler with us who is usually extremely good in restaurants but she wasn’t on that day and it did not seem to affect the mood or irritate the staff. Also the tables were spaced out far enough not to bother the other guests! The food was succulent and very well presented, maybe we would have liked a little bit more on our plates but we were expecting the portions to be small!

The fourth floor view of the marina was a great backdrop. The service, food and its presentation were excellent. I had the scallops to start which were well cooked and came with wonderful and interesting selection of accompaniments. For my main I had the loin of lamb which had a delicious herb crust and a great selection of vegetables. For desert I had the pineapple and rhubarb combination. The dinner was a bit on the pricey side but the interesting and well presented food was excellent and delicious.
