first we had to pay half of our dinner in advance. no worries if it wasn't for them to take an exta 400 euros. 3 times they made me send a copy of my bancaccount and then they went on vacation. just wanted to share this with you all. by the way the food wasn't worth the money. total ripoff

We have 50% but they are giving a different menu with higher price than the menu on internet (70 euros without thé discount, and 90€ in the menu with thefork...). Very expensive restaurant for Porto and with small quantities. The place is beautiful and nicely located. Chairs are a bit old with no more functional padding inside. Not sure I will use thefork anymore and better to go to other affordable restaurant on the Douro.

Not only a fantastic meal but an extraordinary dining experience! We absolutely loved RIB and will be back during our weeklong stay in Porto! The tomahawk steak, grilled vegetables, and truffle mashed potatoes were perfect, and the desert extraordinary! My husband and I ordered different deserts not really knowing what it‘ll be (I just knew I ordered something with chocolate and vanilla) and it was the most delicious concoction of different things, beautifully presented, and unique.

I have mixed feelings about RIB. The restaurant itself is beautiful, it has a wonderful bar and is in an excellent location. The food was good and the service efficient. While there was nothing really “wrong” with our experience – certainly nothing that anyone could “fix,” I had pretty high expectations and felt that it just didn’t live up to them and that the food and service did not justify the somewhat higher prices compared to other options nearby. It’s obviously quite popular, so maybe it was just an off night.

We were well received at the entrance, but our waiter seemed to be in a rush all the time, even though we were the only ones in there for a while. Also, the portions are smaller than they tell you. Apart from that, the food is great and they have a good wine selection available. It’s a bit expensive considering the size of the portions
