We don't write many restaurant reviews (good or bad), but sometimes a place is special, and otherwise not many would know about it. Such a place is Belvedere. We travelled from Paestum (25 km) because we wanted to go somewhere relaxed and authentic -- we couldn't have done better. One example: I ordered the ravioli with tomato as a starter. The kind owner thought we might like a cream-infused type of ravioli better, but our Italian is poor and he could not explain in English, so he brought us a plate with the sauce to try. It was more like eating at a friend's house than at a restaurant, except a friend who his is a superlative chef, and the bill was probably 30% lower than it would have been in Paestum -- which didn't hurt at all. We'll be back!
