Da Tura Restaurant has always been a place for people to meet friends, with a menu chosen by our chefs, which offers the best of in-season produce, and a wine list which presents an excellent selection of regional, national and international labels.

The meals we offer are inspired by traditional, local cuisine to provide you with the real aromas and flavours of cuisine from Venice and the Venetian region, as well as the classic Italian dishes prepared with an added “je ne sais quoi”.

Products are carefully chosen so to guarantee their freshness, every day; in-season vegetables, fish from Italian seas, prime Italian meats and a selection of cheeses, from the Venice region and beyond, are all carefully prepared for you today with the same care offered in the past 100 years. The restaurant is open every day.

We had pretty high hopes as I booked a table for two for my girlfriends 20th birthday. The restaurant has been mentioned in Michelin-guide, so it sounded like a good choice. As we got there we had to wait a little bit and I was offered a cup of coffee, before escorted to the table (good call from the waiter). We started off with bottle of water and nice Gavi di Gavi white wine. For first course we both ordered Mussels with Saffron and potatoes a "Venetian dish" and the taste was quite bland and the dish lacked imagination. For seconds I took "Seafood Paella" and my girlfriend took simple steak with rosemary. Paella wasn't what I would call a real paella, more like under-seasoned rice with seafood tossed around, decorated with parsley. Girlfriends "steak" was flat as a folded napkin and the whole course looked something you could get from Finnish gas-station. For dessert we got lemon and meringue tart and for me lemon sorbet. Honestly it was our only decent food we got.
