10/10One of the MOST enjoyable dining experiences since we’ve been living in Torino (6 years). I brought my wife here for a romantic dinner and it couldn’t have been any more splendid. Alessio was our server and he was so friendly, engaged and enthusiastic. While he’d be at a table taking orders he’d even bounce around to the nice background music. The menu here is fusion, with some Japanese influences and sauces combined with some more traditional Italian or Piemontese dishes. So many interesting choices, and Alessio describes them well when he’s asked for details. My darling and I decided to split an opener of battuta di vitellone with a spuma di ciapinabò (a topinambur from Carignano) and chips. We’d planned to get a half-bottle of Nebbiolo but those were out of stock so we opted instead for a pair of Negronis. Alessio mixed those for us (when we arrived there was just one other diner so he spoiled us with attention and humor) and he mixed them generously! How funny that my wife noticed that the straws were actually long strands of ziti pasta! After the drinks arrived Alessio brought us an opening sampler compliments of the house: a supplì of a seafood bisque nicely crusted and lightly fried. Just terrific. When Alessio brought the antipasto you could see how much attention they paid not just to the quality of the food but also the presentation. It looked terrific and the tastes and textures were sublime. The bits of salt added at the edge of the platter made it perfect to season the meat as we wanted without having it be from a salt shaker. A nice touch. After enjoying that thoroughly (and Alessio was checking with us to make sure we were pleased), we had our main dishes. My wife had the agnolotto del plin with a demi-glace and toasted hazelnuts. I chose the pork Tomahawk steak coated in Panko, served with a Panzu sauce (similar but not the same as a soy sauce). I was amazed by the size of the Tomahawk and it was prepared wonderfully. The meat was tender and perfectly cooked through, with the Panko bread crumbs adding a great contrast of texture. Dipping it into the Panzu created a nice array of tastes. My wife was thrilled with her plin — we obviously gave each other tastes of our dishes and both were really fantastic. The agreed chef here (Andrea Tuninetti) certainly knows how to create some amazing offerings. As more people came into the restaurant it was nice that the noise level stayed quiet enough that we could converse easily to throughout the whole meal. Even though we’d eaten enough that we could easily skip dessert we wanted to hear the options and let ourselves get tempted. Alessio said the apple pie with a Vernouth zabaglione was excellent (and I’m sure it was) but the more unusual one to catch my eye was a gelato of sake and rosemary, with a sablè of cacao and Maldon salt (a type of sea salt). So I ordered that for us to split. And it had hints of rosemary in the taste, the crusty cacao added a nice texture and the salt was scatter Ed throughout as opposed to sprinkled on top so some bites were saltier than others. A really nice dessert — I was almost tempted to also order the apple pie based on Alessio but that can be for another time. To finish up I mentioned to Alessio that I am a fan of Amaro but not particularly the more commercialized ones, I like to experiment and discover. He brought a pair to the table — Braulio, which he said was very bitter, and Zucca which he said has more sweetness. As I was debating between the two, my wife suggested we have both and we can compare. And it was amazing when Alessio brought them to the table. Amaro is often served in a really small cordial glass or a shot glass, but these were in bigger glasses and definitely an abundant helping. If the two I would go for the Braulio, with some sweetness and a hint of caramel-chocolate at the start, with classic bitter finish. The Zucca was sweeter than my preference while my wife preferred the Zucca. This sincerely was among the very top dining experiences my wife and I have gotten to enjoy in Torino. I’ve already begun planning coming back for more date nights with my wife.

10/10A home away from home. Outstanding gourmet food combining classic Italian cuisine with Japanese and Asian accents. The ambience of the hotel and restaurant are like a Belle Époque villa and the hosts are your Italian family. Not to be missed when in Torino.

7.5/10While the waiter was excellent very attentive and friendly the food didn’t merit such praise, the food was underwhelming and not very tasty or even nice to look at! The waiter was very helpful but there is only so much you can do with average food the bill was €106 for two starters and two mains one desert and a bottle of wine. We were hungry so it all got eaten but I wouldn’t eat here again.

9.5/10Splendid meal, with a very helpful and attentive waiter. The restaurant is not cheap, but a good deal of care clearly went into the preparation and presentation of the dishes, which were all interesting in some way. The waiter was very helpful in explaining the menu (my Italian is fairly poor, although my companion was Italian and helped too!) and he made a very good recommendation of a wine which was not on the list. We mainly selected from the vegetarian choices (there is basically one vegetarian option at each stage). The restaurant is attached to a hotel, and is in an area somewhat out of the centre of town, but still quite accessible by public transport. It was a quiet evening, with only one other customer, so I don't know what it is like on busy evenings. But we were very happy indeed with the experience.

10/10A magic place: perfect service, exquisite cuisine and the history of the house adds to its charm. Try the ictopus tentacle starter and ravioli with Saras del fen. The wine our server suggested (Nero d'Avola Ero 2010) was a perfect match
