Generally high quality in a perfect atmosphere. Portions could be extremely big in relation to their price (for instance mixed fried fish for 16 €) and extremely small (4 noodles as a starter for 17 €) - so overall you wouldn’t leave hungry L’Ambasciata. With the discount of The Fork you should not hesitate to visit this restaurant.

This restaurant is casual and tastefully decorated. Nice, fun artwork. It has very good air conditioning. The wait staff was excellent and the all seafood menu was superb. Food was fresh, delicious with lovely presentation. We highly recommend to all seafood lovers.

Wonderful service! Great recommendations based on our preferences for both food and drinks. Original dishes, traditional Sardinian with a modern touch. The tiramisu is to die for, keep some space to try it at the end of your homemade pasta meal!

I was expected a lot from this restaurant for our last night at Cagliari. It had a great rating and really good comments, so it should have been an awesome night. However, the food was a complete disaster, it is the first time I have to call the owner to tell them how disappointed I was... Of the 4 courses we took with my partner, 3 were not acceptable at all. It's started with a tuna tartare with the tuna lukewarm and a strong smell. I was a bit disappointed but I ate everything thinking that I was maybe a bit too sensitive, and the yogurt sauce masked the smell. The starter of my partner was okay, but nothing special at all. Then, for the two main courses, I took lasagna which has been clearly reheated as I couldn't cut the pasta with my knife and it was hard to chew. It looked like a lasagna you put 3 times in a microwave. My parter had the fish of the day, which also had a very strong smell and which was too cooked. We both didn't finish our dishes and called the owner as it was now sure the tuna was also not properly cooked, which meant 3 of our 4 courses were not eatable. The notation is not worst because the owner was nice, gave us a good recommendation for the wine (the only satisfaction of the night) and only made us pay for the wine and the starter of my partner. I only put a bad notation for the food. I'm just a little disappointed with the reaction of the owner who only said that all the fish and pasta were fresh the same day, which I really trust, and that he could not have done anything else. However there was clearly something wrong between the moment the restaurant bought the food, and the moment it was served in our plates. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen, maybe the way to store the food, maybe it was due to the late service (9pm)... but we went to 3 restaurants before this one and each time a great night, with awesome food. This time it was not just different tastes from a customer, it was poor cooking... Another example was regarding the Sardinia bread, which was wet and not crispy at all... The owner blamed the weather and, again, said they couldn't do otherwise... We ate in 3 other restaurants at Cagliari before, all of them had good crispy Sardinia bread.... and the same weather.

We had a wonderful lunch meal with fresh ingredients, tasty dishes and a very friendly staff! Certainly a great choice! Don’t think twice and delight yourself with local food! Excellent way to close our stay in Cagliari.
