About the restaurant Ristorante Pietratorcia

The restaurant didn’t have our booking so were not expecting us. We really thought the food was overpriced and really quite bland. The starter dish was many beans and just 2 or 3 mussels and clams no flavour. The fish was over cooked and not seasoned and came with boiled chopped potatoes again no seasoning. The dessert was meant to be vanilla custard in filo with fresh fruit but custard had not set so was runny watery. It was sadly very disappointing as very expensive and difficult to get to so feel we wasted lots of time and money at 100 euros

Great find! Beautiful setting in the garden with vineyards surrounding us.
Fresh ingredients right from the garden. We just loved it!!! Also they are a winery and I enjoyed their wine flight!

Really good homemade pasta and astonishing cakes. You also have to try their Pietratorcia wine. Truly recommended if you are near the Forio city.

If you want to treat yourself with an authentic Ischian lunch oder dinner, choose Pietratorcia.
Its a lovely restaurant at the family run- vineyard in Furio.
We sad under a pergola covered with strawberry grapes.

We had the rabbit menu including an eggplant casserole with mozzarella cheese, Pappadelle with rabbit sauce, the rabbit itself with potatoes and a lovely peach sorbet.

With the menu we had a delicious, full bodied white wine from the vineyard.
All products were super fresh, you can actually see the wine and the eggplants grow near by you.

The waiter and the waitress were very nice, courteous and had a great sense of humor.
He explained how they produce the wine, we had with the menu.
He is very passionated about their wines and shares his great knowledge with you.
After lunch we bought some bottles of wines for family and friends at their little wine boutique.
We had such an amazing time, with outstanding food and wine.
Please book in advance.
All the best from Ischia.

A fine experience, quiet and slightly remote, with fresh food, fine wines produced by the house, and many vegetables grown on site as well. A lovely setting for a leisurely meal
