A great find within close proximation by foot to the main Florence train station and the main Florence Cathedral. The Sabatini Restaurant is one of the oldest and biggest in the Florence CBD and they serve great pasta with a few truffle dishes. We ordered a fried egg with black truffles (€14), artichoke flan with burrata fondue (€12) for entrees, which were excellent and the truffles smelled divine! Then we had a homemade tagliolini with black truffle (€20), and a large flat fettuccine style pasta with wild boar meat (€18). They were equally as delicious! In the end we shared a grilled baby goat with mash potatoes (€28) which we found the meat a little bit over cooked and tough, then a separate serve of sautéed spinach with olive oil & garlic (€7), it was very tasty. Please be advised there’s a €3.50 p/person service fee being added to the bill too. But for a great friendly service offered by the waitress, we were very happy with that. Overall it’s an old restaurant with good quality food and a nice atmosphere. A great restaurant to dine on any good occasion.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. Two people in our party ordered the T-bone steak for two. The meat was inedible because it was too tough to chew. Another person's meat was full of gristle. When the issues were mentioned to the person at the checkout place, he said other customers had reported the same issues. We expected better from a meal at that price point.

Mediocre. The food wasn't bad. But it wasn't anything special. Also they were playing US music. Who wants to hear that when you're in Italy? The answer is no one, not even people from the US.

Most rude and arrogant restaurant I have ever been. Booked for 7.30pm.. left sitting at the bar without a word until 8.30pm then I walked out. No one bothered to stop me, because there were 20 waiting outside. Avoid this place if you don’t want to eat before midnight

After reasonable starters, the meal went downhill. Very disappointingly for what purports to be a specialist meat restaurant, both steaks were tough. My steak, a premium ribeye, was also very fatty (the fat had not been rendered down through cooking) and had gristle and sinews throughout. I reckon I had to leave about 20% of my steak, as the time and trouble it was taking to find some reasonable meat was not worth the extensive effort involved. This was the only poor meal of our stay in Florence and it was a pity as it was our last night.

Was a bit disappointed in the meal. Just ok, definitely better spots to go in Florence for the bistec - I’d look elsewhere. Also, note that no fork discounts were honored if you get the “menu” option for 2 people

We had an excellent dinner at Storico Sabatini trying a Florentine Steak for the first time. It was most excellent, as was the pasta side dish we ordered. The atmospher in the restaurant is also lovely. It was quiet and calming. I Was a little dissapointed in the service and billing. I am traveling with 2 friends, all female, not huge eaters. The steak is priced by weight , the minimum being 1.2 - for 69Euro- which is what we asked for. We also ordered a salad, a pasta dish, and a side of potatoes to go with the steak. The steak came frist, and all by itself! Maybe that is common? But we thought we would get the salad frist, then the rest together. We had to ask for the other items. We never did get the salad, which I mentioned prior to getting the bill. Then when we did get the bill, the steak was 14euro more than we ordered, and they charged us for water we never asked for or received. I let the steak cost slide, am sure we probably got what was priced, but after I had specifically asked for the 1.2 if it went higher we should have been told. We did not finish what they gave us. They did take the water off.

Amazing service, scrumptious food - so different from the many tourist pizza places. We had a cozy evening in the courtyard, even in the drizzle with good wine and so friendly people.

It was a nice restaurant but the food was a little disappointing and the service wasn't great (they were very polite but not very attentive) but please try because not every ones taste is the same. The flambé looked impressive (but I didn't have it at the time), It could of just been a bad night for us.
