Table wasn’t ready. We went to the trouble of visiting in the afternoon to make sure we got a table outside. Everything was organised with directly with them as well as our online booking. They even showed which table it would be. When the 6 of us arrived on time we were made to sit inside . No table inside was set so they scurried around whilst we were made to stand around and, then when seated, someone was smoking in the service room near our table. Food was just ok .

Our waiter was meraviglioso!! Very attentive and sweet! Works hard! The food is incredible! The caves below are worth a peek. An unbelievable story and fascinating to see. Grazie mille!

We found this restaurant online and booked it because of the reviews and we were not disappointed. It was honestly one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Fresh, home made, interesting and different. We had a steak, a pasta dish with shrimp and a tuna special with a delicious sauce with pine nuts, olives and raisins. Everything was so delicious. Staff were friendly and courteous and couldn’t do enough for us. The setting is really pretty and romantic. Will definitely be going back before we leave.

My girlfriend and I enjoyed our dinner. However, it was let down by a few little things which would have changed the experience. Firstly, my parmigana starter was served cold - couldn't believe it given I am.in Italy but perhaps it was a local thing? The waiter seemed to understand English until I asked him if it was meant to be cold. Half heartedly he said yes. I asked the Italians next to our table if this was correct and they adamantly said it shouldn't. The mussel and clam linguine was good. The mains were good without being spectacular. They weren't served with everything they were meant to - cold spuds and no veg, as had stated on the menu. Again, English was lost on the waiter all of a sudden. MY "catch of the day" sea food platter was largely overcooked and under seasoned but did have a good array of fish. It even had salmon on it which was a surprise given there can't have been any fresh salmon within a few thousand miles. The staff seemed more interested in pumping the food out and not offering any assistance but that may just have been an Italian thing. Overall a 6 to 6.5 is a fair rating for a mediocre meal which could have been so much better with a tiny bit more care.

Mysig restaurang och trevlig personal. Vi åt bl.a. grillad tonfisk som dessvärre stekts grå och torr. Detsamma gällde för lammracks som stekts för länge och blivit grå. Inte vår smak tyvärr. För och efterrätt var dock mycket bra. Kanske var det otur, men gjorde måltiden till bara godkänd.

The food was average and not cheap. Wine list was good. Fish of the day was good but we were three and they brought it to the table filleted for two - having forgotten our daughter. They then took it back and it was redivided into three - not great. The potatoes it was severe with were not cooked through and cold. The antipasti were ok but nothing special - my wife had the cozze but was not offered anything to clean her hands with. Not the restaurant’s fault but we were forced to listen to the tourist band moving from restaurant to restaurant singing Neapolitan songs. It wasn’t great to see a young boy of about 8 waving a tambourine while yawning and then being made to shout his way through another song for the tourists. Again not the restaurants fault but the restaurant opposite has its extractor fan installed in its frontage so we received regular blasts of hot air on an already balmy evening. Shame as it was basically a nice place but several things went wrong consecutively.

Delicious fresh fish and pasta. The tiramisu is a must! The service was excellent most attentive and always making sure you enjoyed your food. Best meal on our trip to Sicily !

This little place is located on a tiny little street amongst many other restaurants. We ordered a mix of food but the stand-out for me were the gamberi Rossi (red prawn) tartare. It was divine! The staff were also super helpful and welcoming

The food was good and tasty. The list of wines offered a descent choice of sicilian and Italian wines (a bit overpriced ) and the sommelier was competent suggestions. The place is nicely decorated and overall experience was pleasant. Hence the waitresses was to pushing but this is a personal impression.

We ate lunch at Ristorante Taverna Al Paladino one day and came back the next night for dinner. We’ve been in Sicily for over a week, in different cities, and we thought Al Paladino was the best restaurant we’ve been to. The fresh fish was excellent, cream of mushroom soup and salad. delicious, and both pastas we tried were outstanding! The service was excellent— very friendly. The restaurant is on a side street and you could almost walk by it—but we are so glad we stopped in. If we come to Taormina again, we will for sure dine at Al Paladino again.

It was dissapointing! The location is nice, but the food is just for tourists! Here we had the most worst spagetti ala vongole, lack of any taste! I ordered the soup of the day, the fish was raw inside and the other sea food from the soup was refregerated! The only good meal was grilled tuna, but at the time it came, we were already pissed off and couldn’t enjoy it!
