Nice staff! Great in cutting up the cote de boeuf and great in recommending some nice heavy beers..

Eetcafe type food. Large beer list so if you are a beer lover this is the place to be. Central location. Fair price quality - but wouldn’t go out of my way to go here. Likely won’t visit again as much nicer places around

Generally the service was good. But the restaurant was full and things seemed to go amiss with the kitchen. Main courses arrived. 5 minutes later the fries and after another 10 minutes or more a rather disappointing salade. The waitress, Lisa was excellent but the kitchen let her down. We will however, some back if only for the excellent selection of beers!!!!

Service has always been poor here and still is. Atmosphere is good though and decent food usually makes for a good time, as long as you are not in a hurry. Great selection of beer, very limited of wine.

Service was very slow, other people were served earlier although they arrived later. When we asked about when we can expect to be served, one of the waitresses was quite unfriendly-we asked about the time gently and she responded rather aggressively as if we were complaining badly. The burger was served with dry bread and completely burned on one side. The stew was a sad story as well. The only good thing was the onion soup, but 50 Euro is a bit much for an onion soup after all. We complained when we paid and were a bit surprised that they still charged the full price for the food.

Rootz is nicely situated in the centre of The Hague, a convenient location to meet and greet. Our visit was pleasant and the atmosphere convivial. Service however while friendly in all interactions, was hit and miss in terms of longer than anticipated unfortunate wait times. The wine was standard fare and coffee gewoon. As people who thoroughly enjoy cheese fondue and having feasted on it in this establishment in the past we had a royal let down, the fondue was bland and the accompanying assortment haphazard.
