The staff are friendly from the your first step inside the restaurant. It was our anniversary and they set a lovely table in the corner with a view of the moulin rouge which we were going to see after dinner. Had the octopus to share as a starter which was sublime, my husband had the steak tartare and I had the lamb for mains both were excellent, the lava cake and coffees for dessert. Service, location and food were all perfection.

Friendly service, Rouge Bis was able to accommodate our group of nearly 10 people (including children). Some of the choices of the menu were surprising (i.e. I did not expect the menu of a traditional French bistro to include Chinese noodles), but perhaps it's because of the restaurant's location in a touristic area. Also, was hoping for some other more traditional French dishes (such as confit de canard). Overall, food was good and portions were large. Presentation was OK. Perfectly located, with view of the Moulin Rouge. Would recommend.

We were a party of 4 from USA on our 1st night in Paris. We had tickets across the street at Moulin Rouge and sought an excellent dining experience before the show. Every raved about their selection. Everything was excellent - Food, Service and Value. The Butternut Lasagna, Flank Steak, and Avocado Toast were EXCELLENT.

The food was tasty, I had the veal gnocchi one night and the gnocchi and truffle sauce were amazing the veal was okay. I had the pulled pork sandwich another night and it was good, nothing special though. The restaurant itself is nice, kinda of a chic casual vibe. Most of the waitstaff was very friendly, there was one guy who I never saw smile but the other staff definitely made up for it. The only downside to me was that it gets really busy and you can be waiting a long time before you see your waiter. Besides that, I enjoyed the experience and I would recommend this place for dinner.

This bistro was excellent! We were nervous about our poor French skills but never the less had prepared to try to communicate in French. To our great surprise we were greeted like old friends, in English. We were pleasantly bewildered, we were told it would be about 10-15mins for a table but were quickly ushered in and promptly set up at the bar where we had scrumptious drinks from a smiling cheerful bar tender (the staff was almost entirely female,) I had a Saint Germaine and my husband has a Moscow mule. Before we’d had two sips we were showed to our table. Everyone seemed to have a great time and we watched as group after group couple after couple were shown the same warm welcome and accommodating treatment we had experienced. I had the meat and cheese board as it came highly recommended through other reviews and it didn’t disappoint and though I was very hungry and my husband ate some of it as well, there was no way I could finish all of it- definitely a worth while sharing option! Quintessential French bistro food experience. My husband had the Rouge burger and it was juicy and flavorful and smothered in more of the amazing cheese. Even the potatoes on the side were delicious! All told with an extra soda and so much yummy bread and various salad sides, it was about 55€ or so and we ate until blissfully full across from the iconic Moulin Rouge. The hostess/manager or whom ever she was took our picture and was warm and friendly from hello to goodbye. A stark contrast to the opinions we’d heard of the famous Parisian rudeness- it set the tone for our trip thus far where we have found pretty much everyone everywhere to be kind, happy, and or easy going, surprising to find in such a big city. At times I was reminded of the business of New York without the sense of stress, and the relaxed easy going feel of (some pockets of) Los Angeles. And it was all wrapped up like a gift the in the beautiful icon sites of the Montmartre district of Paris. Merci beaucoup, Rouge bis, à bientôt!

We were greeted by a host who was very playful and FUN. We had a great table for 6. The menu choices were good and the service and food excellent. Best of all it is right across the street from the Moulin Rouge, where we were going for a show afterwards.

Food isn’t good. Portions are big. Service is friendly but rushed. I would go somewhere else within walking distance if you are catching a show at Moulin Rouge

Great view, a good place if you’re visiting the moulin rouge. Good food; not fancy but wholesome. Quick service, not particularly friendly but functional conversation. Reasonable prices for Paris.

I wanted to love this restaurant. The location was great (across street from Moulin Rouge), the descriptions for the dishes sounded good (I got the Chinese wok), the reviews were raving! Unfortunately, everyone in my party was disappointed with the meals and service. Btw. My Chinese wok was super dry, over spiced with cilantro, and chicken over cooked. I really don’t recommend this restaurant.

About the restaurant
