the best restaurant in all the Setubal peninsula. its a unique fusion (and addition) of all techniques from the exquisite Japan cuisine and the effusive Portuguese one. brilliant work that shows how difficult is to be recognised outside the Lisbon area.

Absolutely stunning - the service, the food & restaurant was 10/10. Only downside was finding this place on the last night of our weeks visit otherwise we would have been back ???? Highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing restaurant. All the staff, all the chefs were amazing and so welcoming. We visited twice during our 5 days in Setubal and tried everything on the menu. There was not a single dish we didn't love. The open kitchen allows you to see the chefs constructing every dish. The floor staff were polite, attentive and even remembered us on our second visit. We absolute love this place. We couldn't recommend it more highly. Food is our of this world.

Chef Renato Velez has created something very special with this Portuguese/ Japanese fusion cuisine. We ate Sado River Oysters, Octopus Croquette, Anchovy Toast, Squid and tzatziki sauce and Clams, Japanese way. The oysters and squid were probably the best I've ever had. Too bad we're not staying in Setubal longer as I would love to taste everything on the menu. Also enjoyed the alfresco dining, on a beautiful evening.

We are big fans of Ryori and go there often. Their fusion of Japanese and Portuguese cuisines never ceases to surprise us and the service is generally attentive and helpful. As it is a small restaurant and everything is made a la minute, there can sometimes be a bit of a wait but well worth it. The atmosphere is tranquil and casual chic, not a place for families or kids, but rather a grown-up night out with delicious food and a glass (or bottle!) of sake.
