Sabor da India never fails. The food quality and service are consistent, which is why we keep going back. Today, we started with onion bhajis, probably the best in town - crisp yet soft and a delicious flavour. Siddique gave us a lesson on how to mix the sauces to get the best out of them - it really worked. The main courses (chicken dhansaak and chaana sag) were exactly to our taste and we came away feeling very satisfied and very full. Our next visit will be very soon.

This out of the way restaurant is excellent in every way, we visit madeira 3 times per year and never fail to enjoy an excellent meal, with the kindest of staff. Absolute pleasure to spend an evening here.

Excellent quality and range of options. Spacious layout. Our favourite Indian restaurant in Funchal. Sid and Theresa always make you feel welcome, still manage to find time for a brief chat when very busy, and catch up with you later when it gets quieter. You are never neglected. They offer good advice on menu choices. Very knowledgeable team of staff.

This is the best Indian we've had on Madeira so far (have tried 3 others), and one in our party said it was the best she'd ever had. It was Easter weekend and some staff was out sick, so service was slow. But the servers never got rattled and were always courteous and helpful. Under the circumstances, they did a great job. This is now my favorite Indian restaurant on the island.

The food was good. They brought us meals that we haven't ordrer then ask us to pay. Very expansive restaurant!!! Waitresses are not welcoming.

We both selected a vegetarian meal from the set menu and were pleasantly surprised how good it was. The dhal tanka and naan were particularly to our taste. The restaurant was quieter than sometimes - that probably helped us relax and enjoy it more

Tucked away off the main drag, this Indian restaurant looks ordinary. Not so. The food is authentic and extremely good. We each had a starter, main, and sides. All of which were packed with flavour. We will be returning.

Really good food nicely cooked. Service was friendly and restaurant was very clean. Would definitely return as only reason for dropping one star was smaller portion size compared to other local Asian restaurants.

We first visited this restaurant in March 2022 so knew what to expect. We were not disappointed! The food was hot, tasty & well presented. Service was great as was the atmosphere. Best Indian in Madeira, we travelled from Caniço especially to eat here! With the taxi fares it was an expensive evening but we’ll worth it.

Lovely authentic Indian food and great value for money. The four of us were staying at a local hotel and this restaurant is right in the heart of the hotel zone so ideally situated. We had a great night out. Well worth a visit during your holiday.
