Really great food, such nice flavours! However, 295 SEK for 10 pieces of sushi (mix plate with nigiri & maki) and a mineral water is a bit pricy...

I live in Copenhagen where dining is on top standards. My wife and travel to dine. I visit Saiko once a year. It is Japan in Malmø, and worth travelling for. The service is great and professional and in the same time very initimate and personal.
Saiko is a cosy and comfortable place. When you step in to the bathroom you step in to the woods with birds and a fox :)
The nr 1 world champion in making sushi (2014, he was nr 2 in 2013) is the owner and chef of the place. A kind man with borg his feet still on the ground.
I visited the place today (saturday 28/7-18) with my wife and son, and had Theis new menu with 30 pieces of chefs choice (nigiri and maki) with sake and desserts and paid only 1000 Danish kroners including tips.
The new menu is autentic and outstanding as allways. My favorite was nigiri salmon with mango and maki role with chutney!
The dessert! - uh la la... you will eat your fingers!

I know this comment will take you there, so enjoy!

See you next summer Saiko...

It doesn't matter how often you go to Saiko, it is always a pleasure and the food is worth every bit of the cost. Simply brilliant, and also so nice when bringing guests that are only English speaking that the nuances of what is served is no problem at all for them to still talk about.
