3.5/10The food was average - but the service was awful - the server picked up and collected things as soon as he could - I finished my glass of water - or the bread plate and he immediately came to pick it up. This happened several times in the course of our meal and when we spoke to him about it he said oh it’s almost rush hour and we need the plates. We had made a reservation and had only been there 30 mins and apart from us there were only two others in the restaurant. Portions small and not the nicest. The feeling of being rushed by the server made what was supposed to be a nice family meal out into a very disappointing experience.

7/10The food was great. However, we were looking forward to have some Turkish dessert. When we asked for it the waiter told us that the kitchen was closed, but throughout our time there he did not once mentioned about the kitchen closing. We were there till 9:45 pm and on google the closing time was 11:00pm. Even after mentioning all of this, he had no courtesy to apologise for not telling us when the kitchen closes, instead he was rude and just said google is wrong. We were really looking forward for the dessert and left disappointed. Overall the food was great, but small portions.

9.5/10Overall excellent. Large menu. Food was superb:really tasty and served just out of the oven. Very nicely design restaurant. Only minor complaint is that bread should have come with some of the mezzas rather than being extras (quickly solved).

7/10I booked a table for 10 people on a sunny Saturday evening. We were the only customers other than a couple who left just as we arrived. The waiter encouraged us to order quickly because he said that they wouldn’t be doing any cooking after 9pm. The restaurant is in a modern shop unit and is echoing and wholly lacking in atmosphere, although I imagine that the ambience would have been better with more diners, and if the tables weren’t oddly arranged around the edge of the space. The whole experience was rather tempered by this poor ambience, but maybe we were just very unlucky on that night. The service was friendly and the food was tasty. The breads were delicious. The meal, with wine and beers, was very reasonably priced.

8/10Freshly made bread and pide - fast attentive service. Good mixture of sweet and salty in some of the dishes. Some of the dishes were a little bland, and didn’t really have punchy flavour.

4.5/10Our meal at Salt and Plum was disappointing. After eating the very lovely bread and Turkish cheese on arrival, we ordered a salad, a cold hummus, and the goats cheese pide to share. The salad was more of a small salsa size, and the hummus a small smear with no bread. Still, we looked forward to our pide - worth £15.50 - which we asssumed would be more generous. The pide arrived, underwhelmingly small, and tasting of very little. We asked our server whether it was indeed the goats cheese pide, as we couldn’t taste it. He came back from the kitchen to explain they’d run out of goats cheese and had substituted more Turkish cheese - an unsalted, bland tasting crumbly cheese, nothing like goats cheese. We explained we’d specifically ordered the goats cheese because we wanted goats cheese. The server goes back to the kitchen and returns with the tin of Turkish cheese to impress how great this cheese is. Once again we explain we wanted goats cheese, and that this cheese means the pide tastes of nothing. Eventually the chef sends over a feta pide and we return the zero-goats-cheese pide to the kitchen. It’s fine. We’re charged for the goats cheese pide. We no longer have the energy to argue about it. Poor value for money and the dishes are nowhere near as colourful and generous as the website images. The Turkish white wine was the best thing about it. We wouldn’t go back and are still annoyed we paid for that bloody pide.

9.5/10The food was delicious. All the bread is made fresh on site with an open kitchen so you can see it all being created from dough to oven. Fresh baklava really high quality and unique menu for a Turkish place. We had the chicken thigh stuff with cinnamon rice and pine nuts… delicious! Nice decor. Good friendly service at speed. I’d go again

10/10The lovely lady waiting us (forgot what was just a simple name) was absolutely brilliant, the chef was friendly and equally brilliant. Wow super find had been to Apollo and this place was a lengthy 6 minute walk (lol). The food and service second to none really wished I lived closer so I could good back again and again. Well done guys.
