We took a chance on this restaurant. Neither the Concierge at our hotel or the taxi driver knew about the restaurant. It was fantastic. Established in 1913 and family owned, they were very welcoming. I ordered the Callos Madrilleños. they claimed to be the "best in the world". I have to agree, they were. It was tender and seasoned perfectly. For my main course I had Merluza en salsa con almejas al Txakolí. The fish was light and very good. The sauce was amazing. For dessert the Torta Chocolate and Tirsmisu were house made and the best I have ever had. This restaurant is authentic Madrid and local at it's very best!!!!

We had the callos, chickpeas with foie gras and onion confit, and bacalao. All were amazing; just how my grandmother made them.

About the restaurant
