La filosofia con cui il nostro Chef Ardit Curri, allievo di Giuseppe Da Prato e Rugi Lidia, guida il suo team è il cuore di San Martino 26: ”La mia cucina? Potrei dire che c'è una maniacale ricerca della materia prima, una costante evoluzione nelle tecniche, ma questo lo dicono già in tanti.

Sono di poche parole, preferisco che sia il piatto a raccontare la sua storia. Quello che mi interessa veramente è emozionare.

Excellent food, artfully presented. Perfect service. Smaller portions (which I always appreciate) allowed us to sample several courses. The charming chef came by to check on our experience. The music—quiet jazz—augmented the food and the setting. Mine was a dinner with a friend, but it would be a great place for a romantic evening.

When I mad the reservations, I was unaware of the Italian Nee Years’ Eve tradition of having the meal last for several hours and ending just before midnight.
We were staying about an hour away from the restaurant and didn’t want to be driving the country roads so late at night.
The restaurant was very accommodation and allowed us to start an hour early and end sooner, so we get back to our hotel. This meant they had to prepare our tables food separately and ahead of schedule. Normally they start everyone together.
The Chef and Wait Staff were gracious and attentive. The food was well prepared and beautifully presented. There were a few items we were not familiar with, and one or two I didn’t try. Overall it was very enjoyable.

Well I'm sorry but we were disappointed. The only restaurant I booked from home and our least favourite and most expensive on the whole trip to Italy. Let's just say ... too much light bright lacking atmosphere. Food was bland although they seemed to think it was pretty special . Hate being negative because that's not my style but being honest .

We enjoyed very much to dine in San Martino restaurant. The service was very kind and fast, the meal was delicates and served us very tasty vegan meals. We sure will come back to dine at this wonderful restaurant.

Weil Decoder to Go Theresa because of the good Reviews. IT was a dissapointment. 1) IT was sooo hot in the Restaurant and they Had no air condition or a place to sit outside. All the guests were sweating and went outside during the meal. 2) very small portions,nothing special 3) meat was ordered medium but arrived well done 4) waiter was sweating AS hell and not present 5) to high prices for what you get _ better to Chose a Restaurant with a place outside during hot Summer evenings

The food was excellent and we had the best cooked fillet steak ever. The staff were really nice and attentive. The only complaint was the temperature. The weather was exceptionally hot and the aircon did not seem to cope.

Excellent again. Food is wonderful and service very good without being intrusive. The extra little "presents" from the chef make it am extra special treat. My only niggle is that I wish hot food was served on hot plates but that's just an English thing perhaps.

Cuisine was very simple but expensive. Service was very keen, friendly, but one of the girls was very inexperienced, but its ok, she has to learn. Friendly chief who came to the tables asking how it tastes. Pleasent atmosphere.

First night of our Italian holiday and I think we've peaked too soon. Absolutely fabulous food with little surprises of a free welcome glass of Prosecco and a chef's soup. I don't eat meat so they adapted a dish on the spot. The others in my group had excellent meaty dishes and we shared a 2007 Brunello which was delicious. The staff were very friendly - a great start to the holiday!

The restaurant is set inside of San Gimingnano and very easy to find. We opted for the tuscany exxperience dish which was set up of five courses. Every course was properly presented so we enjoyed the food even more. Also their cell in the lower floors contained a large selection of vines.
