9.5/10It is very difficult to add anything new to the comments already made. The fact remains that this is a TRULY excellent restaurant in an unusual location. The food is first class, using local produce and giving a fresh twist to Portuguese cuisine. We dined here twice and enjoyed fish, beef and pasta dishes. All were perfect. A house wine recommendation did not disappoint - as it should be, the house stakes its name and reputation on it. An excellent wood aged white in the Barrica style - a dream. Profiteroles, lemon tiramisu all added to an excellent experience. Service is friendly, knowledgeable and extremely professional. This is a MUST in North Portugal.

5/10It doesn't seem that whoever is responsible for attributing Michelin stars goes anonymously to a Restaurant. We've made our reservation on the 12th of February, using The Fork. A reservation for the 20th of April, plenty of time! As we arrive at the restaurant, we're told they have no reservation. We heard some excuses on why the reservation isn't recorded on their system (we're too busy sometimes to read the email) and so I asked why do they accept reservations on The Fork? Again, no reply just a "next time make the reservation on our website". We had to wait 45min for a table to be set-up and there were at least 10 free tables in the restaurant. It was a proper summer day, 27 degrees and no one offered us refreshments while waiting just their long faces like if someone was doing us a favour. All the habitual customers had a different treatment than us. Only at the end of the meal, we're asked if everything was ok. We're given long faces and regular food with Michelin approval.

7.5/10It is too expensive for what you get. Yes, it is tasty, but the portions are very small, the service not quick, and the price is too expensive for the setting situated opposite the football stadium in the small portugal village.
