9.5/10This restaurant serves amazing food and has very friendly staff. It’s definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! Been here twice and once in their other location in Oost. And will continue to come back, no doubt!

6/10First of all they mad us take 2 starters and 2 main dishes (one of each per person). Second of all for some unknown reason they served the mazzas and main dishes all at the meantime so the main dishes (meat) got cold. Average experience all in all.

8/10This was our third meal at Sham West. The food was tasty and flavourful but on this third visit the portions were smaller (the rice portions were disproportionately larger). The staff, except one, were amiable and efficient. The exception was one staff who insisted that, since we were three, we could not order the mixed starters for two. This wasn't reasonable considering that the mixed starters for two cost more than three single starters. We didn't want to make a fuss so we just ordered the mixed starters for three.
