    Seafood on the Rocks was a delight from start to finish. Chef Horst is friendly, welcoming and talented. The wines are exceptional and every aspect of the food served was tasty, well accompanied, fresh and great quality. Overall a real gourmet taste sensation. And value for money. We loved our long lunch and hope to do it again soon.

    Quite a different experience as we ate in the kitchen as the m4als were explained and prepared. The chef answered questions about preparation and where the food was sourced from. Very generous serves and great value for the experience. The included wines were enjoyable and if you'd like something more you can taste at the cellar door then enjoy a 25% discount on purchases. Great day!

    What a great experience. Although we were a small group Chef Horst was welcoming and gave us fabulous food . I loved the way he incorporated wine into each dish to give subtle flavours and richness.

    Sitting in the winery kitchen watching Chef Horst work his magic with 4 excellent dishes was a unique and memorable experience. The food was an innovative blend of ingredients and flavours, the accompanying wines were first rate and the atmosphere amiable and relaxed. All in all an outstanding occasion.

    I had seen this experience advertised when looking for something interesting to do while at McLaren Vale. Booked for 3 people and unsure of what to expect. When we arrived Horst greeted me by name and then for the next couple of hours enjoyed what my wife and daughter would agree was our best winery experience ever. The food was outstanding and so out of the ordinary but to be able y to o chat with the chef and toss around ideas and procedures to it to a whole other level. Could recommend it highly enough and to cap it off any wines we bought before leaving were 25% off. Bought a nice selection and then just as I was leaving saw some 2015 shiraz on special for $10 a bottle so bought a case. Best McLaren Vale drop for $7.50. Can’t believe our good fortune to have been able to have such a sensational time at a price that defies comprehension.

    Chef Horst welcomed us and took time to explain his ethos and approach to his menu creations. Everything was exceptionally presented and equally delicious. Wine pairing was equally impressive and generous. Without a doubt, an experience to savour. Looking forward to going back soon

    Really cool food and wine experience. The food was superb and quite a lot of it. Chef Horst was a great host and it was interesting to see him produce all of the dishes. No fault of the establishment but there was a climate change activist that yelled at me towards the end of the meal so lost half a point for ambience there, lol.
