We zaten in de voorkamer en hadden de pech dat daar twee grotere groepen zaten die nogal hard praatten. De ruimte is kaal en galmt nogal.
Restaurant
Beste Margot,

Dat is inderdaad pech, wij hebben geen invloed op hoe luidruchtig een groep is. Wel fijn dat de gerechten u zijn bevallen. Dank voor uw feedback.

Good food, service and atmosphere but why such a long waiting time...
Restaurant
We appreciate your feedback and good to hear you liked it. Unfortunately longer waiting times happens when its very busy, its something we try to avoid but its difficult to prepair for.

Regards team of Sisaket.

Authentic Thai food ! Better to reserve a table in advance. Number of staffs are limited so e patient to wait for their attention.

Bland food, negligible amount of meat, overpriced. Ugly interior, impatient staff.

Salad was €14 and had five tiny pieces of hard as rubber beef, no seasoning except oil and chili peppers, very basic vegetables - tasteles lettuce, two slices of tomato and loads of onion. No condiments on the tables to season it yourself. Starter was €9 and had three shrimps and three morsels of salmon on a skewer served on a bed of iceberg. The same stands for the main: €19,50 for just a huge pile of noodles in soy sauce with few tiny pieces of beef that I thought did not appear to be fresh.

The menu is lacking description but that actually was quite right - there isn't much to their food. This place was a huge disappointment and has nothing to do with real Thai food.
Restaurant

One of the best Thai restaurants in the region. Varied menu, freshly prepared and authentic. Good sized portions. Staff are mostly Thai and service is always friendly and efficient. A couple of minutes walk from Leiden CS - but book in advance as the restaurant is popular (for good reason!).

Very nice food and overall good place. The service was a bit slow and catching the attention of the staff in order to ask for drinks or even the bill was not an easy task. We really liked the food though and we would go back for that but it's a pity the staff is not as great as the kitchen.

Our favourite Thai restaurant in Leiden! The vegetarian selection is great with a variety of dishes and superb flavours. If you can't finish their generous portions, they'll happily package any leftovers for you. For the quality of the food, the prices are good. The waitresses are friendly and always well-dressed. Grab a meal with a Thai beer and you can't go wrong! Great to be able to book online easily with SeatMe and get the reservation you want.

My experience by Sisaket in Leiden was EXELLENT ! Very warm and inviting atmosphere , right from the moment I walked in I was welcomed by the staff and I made to feel totally relaxed and at home . When I sat down at my table I was promptly looked after by being offered my first wine of the evening , which gave me time to soak up the authentic style and decor of the resturant whilst my nose was working overtime keeping up with the mouthwatering aroma's from the kitchen that completed my
"Little Thailand" vibe .
Just as I was enjoying my crisp glass of wine my order was swiftly taken .....
I started with some fish cakes , and a laap nua ( Nr. 15 chilli and mint salad ) which were both amazing , the flavours were very authentic , which is to be expected from the experienced native chefs that recreated Thailand for me !
I finished with my all time favourate dish the classic Green curry ........
SUPERB :)
All in all I will definitely being visiting again in the very near future , and Look forward to revealing this "hidden treasure" of a resturant to my freinds and family .
Top Evening , Top Atmosphere !!!!
A very happy customer .......

Much better than the last visit. Good use of chili and all the dishes were exactly as we wanted and expected. First time in a while that we actually left something at this sort of restaurant, so portions must be quite large. Sexy stuff and worth a visit.

Thai food is the sexiest there is. The mix of fresh herbs and spices make for an taste sensation that is a league above anything they serve in your standard Indian, Indonesian or Chinese. Its not exactly varied though and with a very limited selection of dishes, its probably the easiest cuisine to judge if you want to compare restaurants. I´ve had a few good meals here in the past, but this one was a bit of a let down. The sight of the sun meant it was probably more full than they expected, so maybe the pressure on the kitchen was a bit too much. Either way the majority of the dishes were a little flat and no where near as good as they should have been. Best was the massiman curry, which was rich and mild, but my chicken, garlic and white pepper missed something. It was huge - for once in my life I actually left some meat - but there was not a great deal of flavour and the chicken was a bit dry and overcooked. Nice wine though and as always the service was very efficient.
